These are the best sandals I've ever owned. I have 3 pairs. 1 for getting beat up in the yard. I split wood in them, yardwork, you name it, these handle it. My beat up pair is over a year old and still holding up strong. No tears or rips. They are not falling apart in anyway. These are super durable sandals and I hope that Croc's doesn't ever change anything on the design. I'd like to also mention the ankle support these give in the heal. Unlike the Clogs, these cup your heal and give you fantastic ankle support. I have CMT1a so my ankles are weaker than the average person and these are the only sandals i feel strong in because the way the heal of the sandal cups my heal helping it stay in position. I've worn these in pools and at the beach and ocean. To my surprise ... MoreThese are the best sandals I've ever owned. I have 3 pairs. 1 for getting beat up in the yard. Only thing I would like to mention is that in the begging you may get a callus on the inside of your heal if your feet are baby soft like mine were. Once the skin hardened a little in that spot, my heel felt great in them. I wear them all the time.

Normal everyday walking. Overall good fit. I have bought 3 pairs and all have a good fit. I am a diabetic and have neuropathy in my feet. Makes my feet feel cooler/comfortable. I live in Florida and the heat and humidity are sometimes unbearable and these sandals are ideal to handle the heat and yet I am able to wear them in situations where I may step into a puddle after the afternoon rain or walking into areas where bare feet might not be a good idea. A friend of mine who owns his own swimming pool business wears them all the time. ONLY negative point: After wearing them over time, exposed areas of my feet are darker and the other areas (no big deal) I ordered all of mine online. I have two bad knees and plantar's fascitis, the latter of which is really not an issue anymore, thanks to Crocs. Though most of my Crocs are classic clogs, when I first saw the Swiftwaters, I liked the looks of them and because they were on sale and I was already a fan, I decided to give them a try. I was really hoping to find something to replace two pairs of heavy-duty hikers that I'd been using for conferences, and the Swiftwaters looked like they might be just the ticket. One day with the Swiftwater Crocs and I gave away both pairs of hikers.First of all, these Swiftwaters weigh practically NOTHING! You barely know you have them on.Secondly, the fabric has plenty of "give," so they don't get tight, even when my feet swell at the end of the day. The Velcro is easy on / easy off and can be adjusted in a heartbeat. There's no need at all for socks. These men's shoes look just FINE on my female foot (and the extra width is nice). Because the bottoms are Crocslite, they support every part of my foot, as though they were made for ME specificallyThird, because of the ventilated sides, my feet don't get hot and sweaty (gross, I know, but there you are).Lastly, the toe part is surprisingly protective. It's not like a steel-toed boot or anything like that, but I've been stepped on, I've accidentally kicked into furniture and conference tables, I've bumped into stuff and no problems. The only downside I've had so far in many years of wearing them is that if you walk in puddles, you're going to have wet feet until you take them off to dry them overnight. So I don't walk in puddles. End of problem.I love these shoes SO much that I bought five extra pairs and put them away, so that if (when) Crocs discontinues these lovelies, I won't be without....
I bought my 1st pair Swiftwater Mesh at the Croc store in Kona Hawaii In 2014. The appeal was the front toe has a rubber buffer. I asked the sales lady why? Her answer was that you could walk from the beach to the water and the rubber piece would kick of the rocks and you would not stub or cut your toe. So I bought a pair and the next day I went to the beach and into the water and sure enough I stumbled across the rocks. The 1st pair I owned worked like a charm at the beach or around my pool deck where the average temperature on a hot summer day runs 140-150 Fahrenheit on the concrete.Cons - I have slipped a fell very hard on multiple occasions on tile, wood decks or wet driveways. Although I did not have to go to the ER, I did get some major bumps and bruises. I ... MoreI bought my 1st pair Swiftwater Mesh at the Croc store in Kona Hawaii In 2014. Although I did not have to go to the ER, I did get some major bumps and bruises. I have slipped with brand new Swiftwater crocs or with slightly worn ones. You ABSOLUTELY have to remain vigilant when wearing these sandals around wet surfaces. CROCs need to cone up with a better non slip bottom for the sole.
I have owned a pair of the Swiftwater Mesh Crocs for over 4 years. Bought them originally for use when Kayaking due to the Velcro fastener so I wouldn't lose the shoes in the river. They also have a much more aggressive tread that grips rocks much better than the traditional Crocs. Being top heavy and having weak ankles usually makes me prone to slipping and falling, but not with these.I have used them for kayaking, bank fishing, working in my yard, working at our farm, worn them to baseball games, and just out an about. I probably have 100 miles on them and they are still as solid as the day I bought them. Although my daughter-in-laws are not fans, "not stylish enough for them", they are the most comfortable outdoor shoe I have ever owned. Although my daughter-in-laws are not fans, "not stylish enough for them", they are the most comfortable outdoor shoe I have ever owned. In fact, I just was delivered 3 more pairs of them.As mentioned, my ankles are weak since I have pins and wires in both my ankles from 2 separate biking accidents ( moped and 4-wheeler) that leave me with limited ankle mobility and limited comfort time on my feet. When working at my house and farm, I am constantly on my feet for as much as 3-4 hours at a time. These shoes are the only thing that will allow me to do this and not be crippled for several days.Needless to say, I am a big fan of the Swiftwater Sandals, regardless of the grief my family gives me.Just to honor them, I wear Socks with my Crocs. That really gets their gears turning :).If you ain't Socking your ain't Crocing :)
I've tried the hard rubber crocs but they just don't work for me. About 15 yrs ago I found my first pair of these near the gulf in Alabama, then at Shoe Department in Clarksville T. a year later and have worn both those pair completely out. Crocs does not show them on their web site but I found them on Walmart. Go figure!! They really are the croc manufactured. The original two pair started out brown, but eventually one of each pair faded to a grey color. These are solid black and so far both shoes are remaining the same color. They have almost doubled in price but well worth my money.
These are super comfortable, bought them for a 3 week trekking holiday in bali and Malaysia, walked all over the place, town, temples, trekking in rocky terrain, rice paddie fields, these didn't bat and eye lid, and you can't feel anything like small stones or rocks like you can with thinner sandles or flip flops. It rained a lot and these got wet but also dried very quickly, very handy. The soles seem very well made, and despite the battering I gave them, they look almost new. Also great for wearing on the plane. I'm a size 8.5, I took the advice of other reviewers and bought smaller - size 8, fit perfectly. Highly recommended.
I was disappointed with my last Swiftwater Mesh Deck Sandals. Seems they have cheapened them now with different fabrics on part of these sandals, yet continue to charge highest price for them. I ordered the all black with the gray trim. Instead of the fabric maintaining their color as previous pairs before, these change from black/gray to black/beige. They used spray paint on the trim that was gray instead of fabric that was really gray and when water hit them, all the trimming turned to a light beige. If I wanted beige I would have ordered a lighter color. Also unlike my previous 4 pairs, the adjustable closure strap is very loose now. They stretched due to the inferior materials used now. Bought these Father’s Day as an early birthday gift for my daughter and allowed her to wear them immediately because she was so excited to get Crocs. Well, it is now June 30th, a few days before her birthday, and the stupid Crocs are broken. The strap on one of the shoes tore off somehow. Can’t believe all of these rave reviews when the shoes appear to just be cheap garbage. Buyer beware!
