Really impressed with my Crucial memory choice and purchase for my iMac. This is the second time buying Crucial memory and for a good reason, PERFORMANCE! I upgraded my iMac with 64GB and it runs like a high performance race car. I can run several programs all at once without skipping a beat. My only disappointment was that I didn't by more! Great Product!

These are the Mac qualified modules. I ended up using them instead in an Intel NUC. My modules are dual rank, and it made my computer so much quicker. I ran a memory test, and everything checked out perfectly. I often use Crucial, and these did not disappoint.

I recently purchased a new iMac and needed to upgrade the RAM for the high demand work I do. Adding these 2 32GB modules to the preinstalled 8GB was fast and easy. Just beside that you alternate the placement of you RAM modules. When you open the panel on an iMac 5k 27", you'll see 4 slots vertically from top to bottom (1,2,3,4) You want your matched pairs in either 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 so they are working in tandem and take full advantage of matched pair architecture. The ordering and pickup process couldn't have been easier. I was in and out in moments - even in the midst of the pandemic. The staff were friendly and courteous. This is why I keep coming back to Micro Center.

What can you say about RAM? It either works or it doesn't. This RAM worked out of the box and I noticed an improvement right away, but I'm sure that is largely due to the massive amount (64gb) that I installed. I am kind of giddy about that amount beucase it is well above anything I have ever had in a computer before! I mean, my first comptuer had a 2gb harddrive and 16MB of ram in 1996, and that was A LOT back then. My, how far we have come! But you didn't come to ride along with me on a nostalgia trip, you want to know how well this RAM works, right? Well, it hasn't failed yet, and that it is a good thing. Sure hoping it doesn't ever fail, but time wiil only tell. Given that it is Crucial RAM, I don't anticipate that it will-- prayerfully. Now, without going into ... MoreWhat can you say about RAM? Sure hoping it doesn't ever fail, but time wiil only tell. Given that it is Crucial RAM, I don't anticipate that it will-- prayerfully. Now, without going into more details, it was important that I bought Crucial becuase of their single source suplier of chips, and because of the way the new 2020 iMac is configured, it reduces the speed of the RAM (from 666 to 1333) if the RAM is mismatched some way (different speed or different chip mfg). It is somewhat maddening becuase I cannot use the OEM RAM with this without losing speed. So I decided just to jump in and buy a large amount so I don't have to worry about it much in the future. And If I do have to add more in the future, I can add another 64 from Crucial and, theoretically, it should work without a speed drop.
I installed Crucial 32GB to my new iMAC 2020 27 inch screen worked fine no issue it worked with pre-installed 8 GB memoryI am buying long time from B&H never have an issue grate place to byThanks again
used crucial many times in the past and only had a ssd fail on me this module worked initially but increasingly more frequent causes my Mac mini to crash. am swapping it for 2x 16GB modules to see if that fairs any better
The best laptop ram out there. Nobody makes it like Samsung does. A lot of the other manufacturers actually use Samsung ram on their chips anyways.
Apple charges too much for memory upgrades, and so I typically order my iMacs with the base memory and then use Crucial for the amount I really want. It has always worked flawlessly. I haven't done performance tests, so I can't speak as to whether or not Apple memory is faster or in some other way superior, but I never have flakey behavior, so the memory is reliable.
This Crucial ram operates flawlessly in our iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020). I had previously gone through the trouble of purchasing two 32GB sticks of OWC branded ram from Amazon and was left with nothing but crashes, even after trying to reposition the ram multiple times with no changes to the problem. This Crucial ram works perfectly the first time, with no issues in two weeks of usage. B&H provided great service by having the best pricing, packaging the ram properly with no risk of damage, and shipping quickly. Could not ask for more, for those with a 2020 iMac purchase confidently in a working ram combination.
I used this to upgrade a Bean Canyon Intel NUC 8, and it worked very well. I ran a memory test as well, and everything checked out. The modules I got are dual rank which is what I wanted. Originally I had Ballistix memory in my computer, but my computer doesn't support XMP, so the Ballistix doesn't benefit me, and this works just as well for me.
