As it will be a first try, not yet installed, cannot evaluate, however research led because size of ssd and PCIe environment would lead to performance improvement over ssd sata environment plus price seemed positive.

I was looking for an SSD that what not too expensive and had great performance. Perhaps is was easier than I thought, Crucial has many decades of experience and a offers a great warranty, I highly recommend this SSD as it performs very well for the money.

If you're simply gaming, and need an upgrade, or need to add more storage. You can't go wrong here. Has a little bit slower read and write than some other sticks. But when it comes to gaming.... You're not going to notice a difference between performance between this and a higher end stick. If you need this for where you're going to be working with big files, transfers, compression and all that good stuff... It will be a better investment for your business if pay a little more and get the faster sticks. They're pretty much double the speed of this one here. This is an excellent choice for gamers. (Who don't care about a difference of 1.75 seconds in loading screens)

I bought this stick for my son's Alienware 15R4 to give him a good amount of storage for games. The install was simple and setup a breeze. So far, it's working as expected. I haven't done any tests against the speed or anything, but he's happy and has seen better performance in some of his games.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a little extra storage and I managed to get it for a pretty good price during black friday so I'm happy.
Great drive @ a great price. I replaced another spinning drive out of my system so now all of my installed games are running off of this SSD.
Coming from a normal HDD to this was a massive leap, Prices were to high years ago so it's been in the pipeline for many years and couldn't be more happy. I was a bit sceptical about a lesser known brand but it seems to do a very good job, only been a good few months of testing but can't see it breaking any time soon.
It's much faster than what I was using before, but I'm not getting read speeds as high as it says, which I figured as my device can only read up to 1500, but I'm not getting that. I'm getting 1350. But for the price, it's the best out there right now.
I bought this to replace the fusion drive in my iMac. Mounted it in an ORICO Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure and was able to install MacOS, and transfer all of my data over to it. Booting from this drive - even externally - is significantly faster than booting from the fusion drive and all of my apps open and run faster.
Most software/programs/apps consist of many small files and a few larger files. The feature that makes an SSD feel fast and responsive is its ability to open and load lots of small files quickly (typically measured as Random 4K speed). The Crucial P1 SSD excels in Random 4K Read speed as well as Random 4K Write speed (saving files). In fact, Random 4K Reads are faster than all several of the top selling high-end models including Samsung 970 Pro and Adata XPG 820 Pro both of which cost considerably more.Crucial P1 is also two to three times faster than any SATA-based SSD on large file transfers (Sequential Read/Write), yet it costs about the same as a good SATA model. Thus, it's a good choice for gamers as well as everyday tasks. Crucial also provides a 5-year ... MoreMost software/programs/apps consist of many small files and a few larger files. For the record, our old Crucial M500 SSD still works perfectly with no discernible loss of performance after 7 years. Reliability is important!Exception: More expensive models can offer twice the Sequential (large file) speed or more. This would be important for heavy video editing and 3D content creation, for example.
