A marvelous invention. I use the CTEK Comfort Indicator on several vehicles that are not used very often. The cigarette socket has been livened up to be 'on' all the time. Just plug in the CTEK Comfort Indicator and it will show you how your battery is. As I walk past the vehicles every few days I just glance in and see the green light flashing and walk on. If the orange light is flashing, I get the CTEK charger off one of my other batteries and just plug it into the indicator. So easy, so convenient, so efficient. If you have vehicles that you don't drive very often, one of these is a MUST. Whenever you wish to take the vehicle out for a drive, the battery will be 100% ready to go.

For some reason I thought I was buying a cable that would allow me to trickle charge the battery on one car from the battery on another. I thought I was getting a cable that would connect the cigarette charger in one car to the one in the other. What I actually got was a connector for a battery charger to my car. The battery charger would have cost me another £80 / £100. I decided not to take it back because it is useful to tell how much charge is in the battery and also because of the current lockdown situation. I do not think that the product description is any good for a non mechanic like myself.

So this tells plugs into a cigarette socket and tells you the status of the battery via a traffic-light LED system. It can also be used to charge the battery BUT first check that a) your vehicles cigarette sockets stay live after ignition-off and importantly b) that your vehicle handbook doesn’t say that you should not charge the battery this way. I had to return for this reason.

I bought this with my Ctek charger and the plug worked fine, telling me my battery needed charging. Unfortunately the car shuts down the power socket before the battery is fully charged. If your car allows it this is a good product
Got this for. Camper van that sits for some time now and then. Works great, a quick glance through the window and you can tell if you keen to attach a CTEK charger to kee the battery in shape. Do watch out though as you need a live 12v socket for it to work and it helps to have a CTEK charger so you can plug straight into this. Their chargers are very well regarded though.
Very practical connector, allows me to connect my CTEK 10 Amp charger to the socket in the boot of the car without having to go under the bonnet. The indicators also let me know when I need to recharge. You do need to wait about 30 minutes for the voltage to stabilise after using the battery even just unlocking the car.So best to have the indicator where you can see it when the car is locked, eg. On top of the parcel shelf is good so you can see it through the rear window. Great during lockdown when not using the car for days.
I ordered this product as it was not available in the shop. Picked it up when it arrived. There are no instructions enclosed how to use it. Went back to the shop for them to explain and demonstrate it. It turned out that the ,,40cm cable is NOT included, which is vital to be able to use this product. The description clearly says that this cable is included. Unfortunately, this cable is also not in stock and even if you can order it, it would double the price of what I originally thought is quite a reasonable price. The salesman was a really helpful chap and tried his best. Another product was suggested to me of equal price, which I bought instead. Again, the man even fitted it for me. It remains to be seen if it works.
This is a fantastic option to use in your cigarette lighter slot or your 12v output slot,to save faffing about under the car bonnet to connect the CTEK cables provided to the battery. HOWEVER, do make sure your socket is PERMANENTLY ON without the ignition being switched on!! Apparently, on some vehicles, you can move a fuse position to enable your 12v socket to be permanently on, with no ignition on. This would need looking into carefully. Hope this helps.
Good as a connector. Traffic light system shows red as soon as engine has been run. My socket is dead when ignition is off but I thought it would be a good indicator to battery condition as it has let me down due to lack of running through lockdown . I get a red light when I switch on even with a full battery. changes to green on start up, it`s seeing alternator voltage. shows red again on next start up. I have not used it as intended so cannot comment further.
I bought this attachment about two weeks ago and I should have checked if the power outlets in my Land Rover were live or not. I have since found out that they're not so this attachment works only for a few minutes until the car shuts down after which the charging process stops. If I were to keep the ignition on or have the engine running it would continue charging but that seems to defeat the object of the exercise. The traffic light system is good for a diagnostic test however and Halfords priced it competitively.
