After a bit of research the CTEK MXS 10 was the ideal battery charger and conditioner I was looking for. Tanya Batteries (who I hadn’t heard of before) had a great website with lots of really good information on it, were offering the MXS 10 at a good price, had it in stock and were able to deliver in these difficult times (waited over a month for a tin of fence paint from a big DIY company recently).Tanya Batteries were quick in acknowledging my order (on a Saturday) and later that day emailed to say it was ready for collection by their courier and I had it delivered a couple of days later. For some reason my car battery suddenly threw up a message to charge up! After a few days use it still kept coming up with this message.I decided to buy the CTEK 10, connected it and left it running over night. The car almost started before I entered the car. Brilliant and no more warning messages.

With lockdown, I'm not using my car except at weekends, and I want to be sure to keep my 12V battery in good condition. The ctek can tickle charge the agm battery just fine.The quick release "comfort" connector means you can permanently fit one of the cables supplied, or use the spring crocodile clips. My only gripe is the eyelet cable is really short, you can buy an extension at £15+.The charger does get moderately warm even when just trickle charging, which surprised me; the amount of waste heat suggests that leaving this on 24x365 will probably increase your electricity bill!

The charger has good features, and has improved the life of my battery, only wish I had brought it sooner. The comfort connector is good, but needed to buy the extension cable (sold separately) so I could mount the charger on my garage wall. Can't understand why it only has a 2 year warranty when the MXS7 has 5 year, which is disappointing.
I have used this on two batteries now and it has done a great job. Simple to use. It has a good quality feel and looks. It comes with storage bad. The cables are a little short on the side of the clamp. But you can buy an extension. Read the instruction carefully as not all settings are good for all types of batteries. A mist has for the new start-stop batteries be it an enhanced flooded or AGM type. Refine mode is for lead-acid batteries only.
A useful charger with some good functions, and easy instructions. Note there are other versions/copies of this functionality now available in the market...meaning that this particular model seems pricey. However I have been lucky to obtain a secondhand one 75 cheaper, at what I feel is a fair price.
Bought this to keep my classic Range Rover topped up as rarely ever used. Battery was so dead no other charger could get a reading on it. Fortunately the MXS10 has a supply function that managed to feed enough power into the battery to bring it back.Paid for itself with that alone!
My car battery was in poor shape and the start/stop function was not working as a result. I connected the CTEK MXS 10 for 18 hours and hey presto everything now works as it should. My assumption is the battery needed a bit of tlc as a consequence of short journeys and forgetting to unplug my dashcam at the end of the day. I’m glad I made the investment, I’m sure it will come in handy for years to come.
I have a ctek MXS 5, the 5a version of this and it is a great charger but takes an age, and sometime an age is not what you've got! Splashed out on this and it gets the job done so much quicker. I did a recon charge on a sprinter battery that had been dead (3v) for over a week and it fully charged it in about 6 hours. That was yesterday and it's still holding charge today at 11.9v and started the van after being left off charge and off the van overnight. This charger is worth the money and I wish I'd got this one when I bought the 5a version but hey ho! This also was pretty much next day delivery once you account for me ordering it over the weekend.
bought a month ago and have used a couple of times; seems a reliable piece of equipment for a big battery on a VW Touareg. Recommended by local electrical specialist after battery drain on car.
