Bought this to replace another brand that had finally seen it's last day - it's non stick interior started to wear off.Wasn't initially looking for the Cuisinart brand for this item. When I compared it to the others I was looking at, it came out the winner. It was a little larger than I was looking for, price was great (plus I had a 20% off coupon), s&h was free and Cuisinart has a good rep. Read the reviews here and on other websites and most all owners were very pleased with their purchase.Have only used once, but so far happy. Not heavy so it's easy to handle. A breeze to wash up. Lids fits snug.Only having used once, have no idea about long term use. However, at this point, I have already recommended to a few ppl.

Have used numerous times in last 10mos (red beans & rice, soups, candied yams, mashed potatoes, stews). Nothing has managed to stick to it, heats/cooks evenly and a breeze to clean. Also, not heavy, so although on the large size, it's easy to move around and clean. Will look to see if there are smaller sizes for everyday cooking. Only giving 4 out of 5 stars as nothing is perfect and would only give 5 stars if in the same condition a few years from now. But highly confident in the product after 10mos. of use.

I am surprised by all the good reviews on here, as my experience was not so good with this pot. The very first time I used it, I was boiling water to put noodles in. As the water was heating up, I noticed the pot was no longer perfectly round on top, and when I went to try to put the lid on the pot, it didn't fit perfectly, as it had before I put it on the stove. The pot had warped, and it is now permanently that way. Not good for food that needs to be cooked with the lid on tight. This pot was cheaper than the other brands, and I think I see why now.
Just recently bought this product to replace another one. It is a little bit smaller but taller. It is also lighter than my old one. So far I have only used it once, so my comments are only for that one-time use. I found no flaws with its performance, so I am satisfied. I know I will cook with it many more times in the future. I would recommend it to those looking for an 8qt. pot. One comment I would like to make is that it would have been nice if it came with a steamer rack like the 8qt. pot that I replaced it with.
When I received this product I was disappointed that the lid didn't fit. On closer examination the pot was an irregular shape, thus preventing the lid from sealing. I returned the product to the local store for a refund. The local store did not have another replacement pot so I bought another one on Amazon.
This stock pot is the perfect addition to our cooking needs. Easy cleaning, pleasant to look at. Not to heavy. Everything I expected. Very pleased.

Excellent, versatile, perfect replacement to an existing pot. LOVE the liquid markers on the inside of the pot. Really easy to clean, also.
