Easy to unpack and set up, multiple warnings re sharp blades and discs. As long as base clicks into place the work bowl cover fits on easily. The small and large bowls functioned equally well, chopping and slicing fruit and veg, pureeing and blending baby food, grating cheese and carrots, mixing crumble topping etc. The wide feed tube, the stability of the machine, the ease of operation contributed to speedy food preparation. I was surprised to be able to mix and knead bread dough. The Cuisinart bread recipe produced a tasty white loaf. Clearing up was easy as everything was dishwasher proof.

This food processor replaced my old cuisinart which was over 25 years. More lighter than old one which I like as older one was heavy to lift out of pantry . Used it to shred some cheese and did a wonderful job. Did not have to push too hard for cheese to go through unlike my old one which needed more pressure. Made bread crumbs great. Definitely very pleased with purchase.

Well made, powerful, reliable, safe. Safety takes a bit of getting used to, you have to assemble and disassemble it in the right order. That's fine, you just need the manual to hand, for the first few uses. Dicing is amazing; brilliant results. Ditto liquidizing. My soups are not lumpy but have a tiny bit of texture which tells you they're home made, not out of a tin! They could have a bit more texture if I liquidised them on "low". Only downside is the dough blade for making bread. Bread dough was too much for it. The motor made a horrible noise and the whole machine shook worryingly.

Disappointed
13 January 2022

I bought this following the good housekeeping award for best food processor of 2021, to be honest I'm very disappointed with the machine. It's overly complicated and not easy to use.The small bowl feature is next useless as it sits inside the larger bowl when in use, the result being whatever is being processed ends up in the larger bowl, meaning you then have to wash both parts up.The "pusher" is a complex shape and also difficult to clean, especially in the dishwasher as it traps water inside the body of the pusher.Just be aware that all the parts take up a huge amount of space, I needed to empty an entire kitchen cupboard to accommodate all the parts.

Excellent value food processor
7 April 2022

I'd spent several months deciding on a food processor after my previous one gave up on me (it was over 30 years old). I was down to deciding between two. When I got a voucher for 20% off from Lakeland and they had the Cuisinart Expert it made up my mind. I have tried all the functions and it performs well although I'm not sure how many I will be using regularly. The machine is very stable no jumping about and simple to clean. I am delighted with my choice and it looks very smart. Lakeland as usual gave first class service. Thoroughly recommend both Lakeland and Cuisinart.

Happy customer
14 June 2022

Very pleased with the Cuisinart food processor. It works well and I like the option of using the separate flat lid when processing items that don't need a feeding tube (pastry, bread dough, nut butter). Speaking of nut butter, I was surprised at how quickly the processor turned 500g of oven roasted nuts into a lovely smooth consistency, without adding oils. It tastes great, too! The smaller bowl sits inside the larger one in use and is brilliant for pesto, hummous, relishes, etc and the contents don't spill over the sides. The machine is also easy to clean. A very good purchase.

Leaks Like a Sieve

I purchased this food processor in May this year. I had deliver to home and I must state that Canadian Tire's home delivery service is fantastic. I wish I could say the same about the Cuisinart Elemental 8 Cup Food Processor. One cannot put more than two cups of liquid and about 1/2 a cup of solids before the contents start spraying out of the sides, between the top and the bowl, and making a horrific mess of the counter top. The parts do not fit tightly and Cuisinart really did not consider this in their design. Going to YouTube, I have seen many videos where this is a pervasive problem. The blade is made of low grade stainless steel with lots of chromium in the alloy to make corrosion resistant but sadly lacking in carbon. The blade is not strong enough to even break up a peppercorn or a broken up cinnamon stick.I have had great faith in Cuisinart in the past. Their multiclad cookware is a class act, especially the model made in France, which performs almost as well as All-Clad Tri Ply. I have extra frypans of this to compliment my All-Clad and Demeyere and have had great results. But their food processors are a disaster and so are their garlic presses. Cuisinart replaced one with a newer model and it was very poor in performance.I will return this to Canadian Tire, if I can find the box and receipt, and will consider getting a commercial unit which are designed for constant use. I use my food processor two or three time per day and the cleanup is a nightmare with model.Canadian Tire has competing products, investigate them.

Louder than an angle-grinder & way too complicated
13 January 2022

This was very highly reviewed and I wanted a machine with a large capacity and plenty of functions. However, there are so many bits to this machine that I can't keep track of them all. It seems to work well but putting it together for each function requires a degree in engineering and a constant eye on the instruction manual! And it's SO loud! It sounds like an industrial angle grinder when it's going. It's either 'high' or 'low' speed and an on and off button to press which I find slow to respond and clunky. I much preferred my previous mixer with it's variable speed dial. Overall I'm quite disappointed with this machine.

Make all the food

This food processor definitely came in handy during the busy holiday season. With all of the family dinners and gathering with friends, this really helped me when it came to food preparation. In general, it is extremely easy to use. It is also very easy to clean, which comes in handy when you have more than one food item to prepare. For an example, I was able to use this food processor to make Oreo truffles, puree tomatoes, and also make a pesto sauce - all in the same day. It was very easy to clean in between uses, and I'm happy to report no one had any trace of oreos in the tomato sauce or pesto.I've also found this handy for dicing vegetables for sauces and marinades. I'm not very good at dicing with a knife because I'm terrified of cutting a finger, so having this has really made a difference for me.Now that the new year is here, I have been using my food processor to make my smoothie bowls. It does a great job of blending everything together to give me that thick, smooth base I need for my toppings. The different blades provide me with endless options of how to use it, and it's big enough that I can get things done in one batch. It isn't too loud when running, but that also depends on what you're using it for - when I used it for a tomato sauce it was pretty quite, but it is a little louder when I'm using frozen fruit for my smoothie bowls. Since it is an 8-cup processor, it takes up a fair amount of counter space, so unless you have counter space to spare, it might be best stored in a cabinet in your kitchen with other appliances. But don't tuck it away with the waffle iron you never use - you'll definitely want easy access to this because you'll want to use it all the time.

Poor Quality
13 October 2021

Attractive design and liked the simplicity of just 3 buttons - off, low and high. But very disappointed in the poor quality, thin plastic now used in the workbowl, lid and pusher. But the complete deal-breaker is the seal on the lid is non-existent. Thicker smoothy-type mixtures don't leak out, but when I made soup, it oozed out all over the place making this item completely useless. Fortunately it happened within the return period so I was able to return it. I owned a Hamilton Beach food processor for over 25 years until I gave it away and even then it was still working fine! This product doesn't even come close to that quality and performance.
