Because of the design to sift from the side instead of the bottom, it was difficult to use as the contents of the sifter got lower. Everything stayed in the back end of the sifter, causing me to continue to tip the sifter forward to get it near the netting area. I’m so disappointed I used a gift card for this item when I could have spent it on any other wonderful thing King Arthur offers. Never have a complaint about anything else.

This is a useful space-saving tool that works well. But the best thing about it is the high-quality mesh that is a slightly tighter weave than almost all the other sifters out there (where the flour practically falls through the mesh b/c the weave isn't tight enough). Thank you!

I used this sifter to replace my old one (emphasis on the "old" here) when taking a cake decorating class recently. The teacher advocated sifting all confectioners sugar before using it to improve the texture of buttercream icing. This sifter has a large capacity and a very smooth, easy, operation, making the task of sifting the tons of confectioners sugar needed for my class both quick and easy. If I'd have had to rely on my old sifter, I'd probably still be sifting!

I was surprised at the size of the sifter when I took it out of the box. I expected something smaller. Well, it’s just the right size, its light and you get very fast sifting power with very little effort. It’s the best sifter I’ve ever owned. It makes baking with flour or mixing powdered sugar or any other spices all the more easier. Great product!
I wanted to like this because I like the idea of it, but it’s flimsy and cumbersome. The mechanism that sifts is thin plastic and it takes forever to sift and often gets stuck mid sift. It was too big to dip into my flour bin. It is much more efficient to use a fine mesh sieve and a whisk. I order quite a bit from this company and I have loved everything but this.
I LOVE having a sifter that scoops. It's tops in that department! But as a sifter, it's not the best. The sifting action is pretty small, and since it's on the side rather than the bottom, you keep needing to adjust to get the flour where you need it. Something similar that has the sifting happening on the bottom would be a better design.
The Scoop & Sift Sifter is the greatest invention since sliced bread! I keep it in my huge flour bin and scoop and sift into a bowl. No flour mess on my counter. I have donated my old crank style sifter. I have to give credit to my husband for finding the Scoop & Sift Sifter. He is always looking for tools to make my life in the kitchen easier.
I only used it once and it didn’t hold all the dry Ingredients so I had to measure them into a bowl and then sift them together. I was combining cocoa with flour so had more than usual. I still prefer the sifter screen at the bottom .The big plus is washing it in a dish washer . Ask me again in a couple months. Maybe some people sift and then measure but I would like it big enough to,hold all the measured dry ingredients dry ingredients before I sift.
Unusual design. The flour comes out from what appears to be more like the the front part. It probably takes some getting used to. The sifter is almost all plastic except for the screen, which will prevent rust from forming but may not be as durable? All of my previous sifters were second-hand purchases of the metal version-all of them had short life expectancies. So hoping this one is reliable.
After 50 years, I wanted to replace my ailing, tin sifter. WHAT A MISTAKE!This one is clumsy, flimsy and clearly over engineered with no input from reality.Flour shoots out, or settles back and doesn't sift. No telling where it will sift to!I thought maybe it would work on powdered sugar. WOW! Glad I didn't have an open flame. Sugar went everywhere!I would love to see a video of it in use.
