The first time turned out to be abit watery, and I have sinced continue to ferment using each batch as ‘mother’ culture, it just become better and better! Have came to conlcusion that the best recipe of mine are as follow:1litre whole milk100g whipping cream50g whole milk powder> mix and cook to 75–80ºC (take care not to overheat or it will scald the milk mixture), hold and stir for 15–20 minutes.> wait till it cools to 45ºC> mix in 23g (2% of mixture original weight) mother yogurt (from last batch)> ferment for 4 hours at 43.3ºC> overnight chilling and enjoy!

I used this product for the first time this week. This was my first time making yogurt and I wanted to try using the cultures instead of using some yogurt from the store. I read a lot of reviews for the product and knew that I wanted to use this one because of all the support the website offered as well as the tutorials and videos. My husband wanted to try a low fat option and so I opted for skim milk instead of whole milk. I was a little worried that I would have to add thickeners, which is not something I really wanted to do. My first batch activating the culture did not come out any thicker then heavy cream. Due to my constant research I knew that the first batch may not be the correct consistency and required two or three batches before it came out right. I am ... I used the DASH 2 quart Greek yogurt maker and followed the tip for thickening my yogurt by keeping it between 160-180 degrees for 20-30 minutes and I let it sit around 110 for about 6 hours.

Having a tough time getting this to set up. Using A2 pasteurized, not ultra. Cooking, cooling as directed. Reusing from the previous batch. Just not setting up well. Cream separates, which is no big deal, but the remainder is very runny. Not expecting store bought thickness. Taste is amazing. Just tart enough for all in the family to enjoy.
I prefer Greek yogurt to regular yogurt as it is always more tasty - but it is usually more expensive, too.I grow a lot of fruit in my garden, like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, mango, dragon fruit and bananas, so I bought this to be able t save money, and still have tasty fruit yogurt. It was really very easy to use; I like the taste and the quality, and will definitely purchase again.
I had purchased this product a month ago and left a one star review. The instructions are a bit confusing and need some tweaking. My yogurt result was no yogurt at all. Immediately this company reached out to me and I explained my experience. They went ahead and sent me another Greek Yogurt Starter. I tried using a different method of making the yogurt and it came out fantastic! This company gets an A++++ for customer service!! Most companies just would not care. This one stands behind its product and that speaks volumes!!
I followed all the instructions, but this starter didn’t do anything. I decided to let it culture for longer to see what would happen. It didn’t even start to make little baby curds until it had been culturing for 18 hours. The final product after 24 hours was VERY mild; it literally just tastes like milk. I almost wonder if I got a mislabeled batch of some kind of cheese? Because this is like no yogurt I’ve ever had or made
I contacted Cultures for Health almost a week ago with questions about my yogurt. The first batch did not produce yogurt.....was just liquid. I cultured another quart of milk with the "liquid-yogurt" as the "tips" suggested. Produced a very runny yogurt which was still quite runny even after straining it. I've made yogurt in the past and have not had this problem. Requested some help or additional tips/reassurance and have not received any communication back. Don't know if I should try again and do not understand why it is not working as expected. Disappointed in lack of response.
