There are countless reviews describing how bad this game is and how poor the launch of it was, so I won't go into that here so much. Overall, I had a good, positive experience putting in 70+ hours into the story and side quests. Overall, I would recommend this game for the story and unique open world.I played this at launch on a PS4. Many people said the game was unplayable on current gen consoles. Yes, I did experience many a crash, too many in fact. I would lose 10-20 minutes of progress because the game would crash. NPCs would glitch and pose in strange positions. Even with all the bugs and distractions, I was still versed in the game, in the world of Night City. In my biased opinion, this is an excellent game, the story is fantastic, the voice acting is ... MoreThere are countless reviews describing how bad this game is and how poor the launch of it was, so I won't go into that here so much. In my biased opinion, this is an excellent game, the story is fantastic, the voice acting is amazing, the graphics are incredible, all of the above. Even with the problems, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. I had faith in this company and I understand that may be misguided at this point. However, I tried to enjoy the game for the story and the ambition, and I ignored the fact that this game shouldn't have come out yet, at least not on current gen consoles.I have not played this game since early 2021. I know a lot has been updated, fixed and changed. I am confident this game is even better than it was at launch. The horrible launch this game had cannot be ignored and I understand how that sour taste will linger for most players. Once they come out with more patches, updates and expansions, I will be sure to pick this game up again - but on PC. This game really shouldn't have been made for current gen. BUT with that being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I own the base PS4 and I can safely say this game is still worth your hard earned bucks. Does it crash to a blue screen, occassionaly so save often. Is there tons of graphical issues like slow loading textures, weird pop in, NPC doing weird stuff, lagging and freezing, yes those issues still exist. However, this game is AWESOME, the story GREAT, voice acting GREAT, narrative GREAT, the side missions and quest missions GREAT and MEMORABLE, You loot and shoot, the city is incredible, it's so vast and the attention to detail is exceptional. Looting and crafting is so deep. The missions are so much fun and really stick with you. The brain dance missions are some of the most original gameplay I have experienced in an open world game. The stealth and hacking is great and combat gameplay is frantic and fun. There are so many cool types of weapons and guns, there are even some unique melee weapons to be found if you are looking, my advice search every room with a fine toothed comb. The in game NPCs are really fleshed out, have great personalities and dialouge. They really help pull you into the city's lore and character. IMO, I don't care what anyone thinks, the one player adventure of this game absolutely destroys GTA V and comes close to dethroning Skyrim. The missions and story crush the stupidity of GTA V, sorry not sorry. This is a great game, warts in all. JUst buy it!!!

I got this on sale for $10, and it was definitely worth that. I'd also say it's definitely not worth full price. So it's up to you to decide where in between that it falls for you. I played this months after release, when it had had enough time to get some patches in, and I had a small but still noticeable number of bugs and glitches (for example, one woman with invisible legs in the starting area and other graphical glitches, a couple quests not progressing until I reloaded my game, a couple crashes, etc.), but nothing too horrible. The game world also felt a little empty. For example, I'd be driving through the wide-open desert at night and see a sea of taillights in the distance, but as I got closer the lights would disappear and there'd be like 2 cars on the ... MoreI got this on sale for $10, and it was definitely worth that. For example, I'd be driving through the wide-open desert at night and see a sea of taillights in the distance, but as I got closer the lights would disappear and there'd be like 2 cars on the road. Things like that.As for the game itself, the main quests were great. Good story, fun missions, no complaints there. But the side quests were very hit or miss, mostly miss, being repetitive "go here, kill people, do a thing, turn in," by-the-numbers filler for the most part. Combine that with the more empty world and my recommendation would be to, unless you're a completionist, just stick to the main quests and throw in a side quest every once in a while for variety.
