Excellent tool at a good price. The mattock is very strong and has done all that has been required of it. Having clay soil, it is very difficult for a spade to make headway, but the mattock has made the job a lot easier. I'm very glad that I bought it (and I was lucky, as my local Bunning didn't have any left, but another store did and it was the last one there).

I’ve had this mattock less than a year and handle snapped off from the mattock. I was digging out the roots of a bush lily, clivia. Not great.

Nice heft, good shock absorbtion - should last many years.
A very powerful tool for removing troublesome weeds. I keep the wide end sharpened. The combination of 2.2kg weight, a fairly sharp edge and a good swinging action is highly effective against big weeds.
