This is an excellent phone mount - just make sure to use isopropyl alcohol spray to clean surface so it sticks properly. Also keep out of way of Airconditioning vent and from extreme sunlight as in time it may come off. You can readily buy the double sided sticky tape if it does.

Packaging was a little confusing. I thought I was buying a vent mounted holder, but was dash mounted. So no comment on the product. JBHIFI have excellent return policy so I took it back for full credit.

The magnetics of the mount work great. I was playing with it while waiting for my partner and I was actually really excited about using it. The mount feels really sturdy and well constructed.The mount's adhesive, however, doesn't stick. At all. I cleaned my dash thoroughly and dried it with a microfibre cloth. Removed the adhesive backing and placed it on the dash.It fell off immediately. I pressed and held it on with my fingers. It fell off as soon as pressure was removed. I tried the replacement adhesive disk - same thing again.Ironic that the one thing you absolutely shouldn't mess up was the only thing they messed up. A strong magnet, a not so strong adhesive. I tried to mount this on the dash of my car (a friend had done this previously and it worked great) but for some reason (possibly the uneven texture of my dash material) it would not adhere. I ended up exchanging it for the same brand vent mount instead, it works perfectly. = )
Honestly, at first I hated it and thought I’d done my dough. A throw away.But it’s now my best buddy.Inside it professionally and I love it.Honest review for a great product.Once you learn what it can do it’s amazing!
This mount is actually good. A lot of mounts don't hold up any device in rough terrain and large devices. However, this magnet is strong enough that it holds everything. The Mount sticks to most surfaces, except leather. Has not budged in the Aussie heat at all.
I had hoped that the magnet in the actual window mount would be stronger. It only really works with the little steel plate that is provided with the mount. It doesn't work with iPhone MagSafe, at least note with an iPhone cover on the phone. I gave it to my wife who was happy to use the little steel plate with her old iPhone
Absolutely love this phone mount. Made from milled alloy, it’s sturdy and holds your phone firmly, and looks great. Super easy to install. And you just put one of the many metal plates supplied in the back of your phone cover and that’s it. You can tilt your phone while it’s still attached to the mount, but when you want to take the phone just a normal grip of the phone and it comes away.Just don’t put it too close to your steering wheel if you have a manual car as you’ll find yourself knocking the phone after gear changes.
I’m very happy with it. It sticks well on the dash where ever you decide. A magnet is provided if your mobile isn’t magnetic, so I put that magnet in the phone cover and it stick strongly, doesn’t or move once I put mobile on the mount. I liked it so much I got another one for my husband car.
I have very few options on my dash for a flat area that is not textured vinyl or any sort of surface making it difficult for the double-sided tape to stick to. I did not want the vent type, so this one was the best option having a small contact area requirement.Magnet is very strong and the pivot is rigid, and my phone has not fallen off or tilted/slumped down, has stayed exactly where i want it to, and the mount has stayed firm on my dash. Very happy with this purchase.
