Have you ever seen the film 127 hours where the man is trapped by a boulder and is desperate to escape. Well, this is what this rock of a modem felt like setting up. Constantly getting nowhere. Finally, it worked for a little bit to give you that false hope that you may survive and be like every other internet person in the world. But nope. What a piece of **** Do not buy if you value your arms and soul.

After some research purchased this as a moderately priced combo router for a family of 4 in a 2 storey house. Range is good with no need for extenders and no issues with 4K streaming tv services or PS4 console gaming. Overall good value and quality with enough capability to last a few years.

No more connection issues! My ISP sent me a piece of garbage when I switched to NBN which constantly dropped out and required rebooting. This product is super-fast and responsive regardless of the number of devices we have connected. The WiFi range is also superior, now covering our whole house with no dead zones. A great product worthy of the price tag.

I was excited when I bought this, and for the price I thought I was getting a fairly decent router. I've never owned a more frustrating router. The UI is awful from the start. It takes 15 seconds to save ever change. The port forwarding screen is blank for a good 20 seconds, and that's if it loads at all. Every time I open a new port, it kicks me out and I have to login again. Lastly, the DDNS won't work! I've spent hours trying to fix this thing and technical supprt is as slow and uselss as the product.
D-Link AC2300 Wireless AC2300 Modem Router 1. Bought this product to replace the current tp-link router. Unfortunately, the D-Link had worse coverage. 2. Paid for express delivery. Took 5 days to receive it. 3. Price dropped $22 dollars just 2 days after I made the purchase. Trying to contact customer service and request credit. No response.
For 3 weeks I have not been able to connect this modem. I tried to get optus to help connect but they have not. My tech support says optus needs to adjust settings but they can't or won't. The instructions in the box hard to understand and there is no explanation of what the lights on modem are.
I dont use all the advanced function s so cannot comment on those but the functions i am using is working well. I have laptop on floor above the router and the signal is not as strong as i had hoped though it still works
As a modem Router it is OK. The ASDL connection speed is slightly lower than the router speed. I purchased this as I thought I the previous one was failing, but perhaps it is due to the Westnet - iiNet - TPG degradation in service. It is not simple to connect NAS or printer. You'll work out how to connect NAS from forums, I ma working with their excellent tech support for the print server. Information is not included in manual or menus. If you use USB3 it states it will degrade 2.4 GHz performance. 2.4 GHz range marginally better than previous router.
Unreliable NBN connectivity and weak security. When it works it works ok. Unfortunately there was not much choice when it came to availability of a modem/router - I needed to get online quickly.
dont buy. requires manual configuration, the wizard setup is not straightforward. wifi would not work so i returned the modem bought a google nest wifi instead, plug and play, worked like a charm
