I upgraded from some mediocre reels to actually spending some money on this reel. From the very start I have been pleased with everything about this reel. I'm so pleased l plan on buying another.

A lovely reel. Great for slow jigging and quite easy to cast with as well. Running 40lb braid for Snaps and Kings.

Very smooth reel. Enjoyed using out deep the other day
Used this reel for the first time today bottom bashing offshore in 40-55m. Very smooth action, gets your rig back to the surface fast. No level wind but seemed to do a good job of laying the line on its own. Jigging next!
Fantastic reel and drag power. Perfect for jigging. Very smooth on the drop.
Top reel, casting and fishing wise can't fault it.
Smooth reel that can take a lot of braid
I cannot give a complete rating on this reel since i have not used it yet. But aesthetically speaking it appears for its price point to be of high quality. I expect the reel to perform like the other daiwa products i own. I have casted it and it does throw a bait a country mile on an 8ft heavy daiwa proteaus rod
Using Saltist15P as my go to tog reel paired with tfx7030 rod. Small and light so you won't get you tired all day.IMO it is a great mid range combo for all inshore bottom fishing.
