Love J Braid, use it in many levels of fishing light and heavy, love the 8 when fishing light. The 4 suits me fine in heavier applications.

I got the 10lb yellow j-braid. This is an extremely light feeling line but rugged enough for inshore fishing. Works great!

Good quality braid and best bang for your buck. Also 300yds spool is perfect amount for 3000 series reels.
I love being able to see the line twich ever so gently during a soft bite. This line allows my older eyes the chance to catch more fish turning fishing into catching.
J Braid X4, is the finest Braided line I have found. For Strength, Flexibility, Casting Distance and Color Retentionit has out preformed other higher priced Braided lines.castabilituy and Color Retention
I love the Daiwa J-Braid X4 Island Blue braid for all my smallmouth spinning rod setups. I live up north close to the great lakes and nothing better then being able to see those finesse bites with that brighter braid and it's super strong and nobody can beat discount tackles prices for it!!
I recently bought a couple of 150 yard spools of the 6lb hi-vis yellow for my ultralight spinning setups. This is amazing stuff! I absolutely love it. I get fantastic casting distance with 1/16 and 1/32 jig heads. On my first outing, I caught a 2.5 pound bass on my ultralight! I just wish I'd found this stuff sooner.
I'm a Power pro guy. Took a chance on this. So far so good. Salt water use inshore, jetty's and beaches. No issues. Inflation buster. Try it!
Spooled up my snapper reel with 20lb 4X to give it a try. I am a great fan of the j-braid 8X so wanted to see what the budget line is like.My impression is that it is thin, strong and supple... just a little stiffer than the 8X.Take this as a positive or negative: its NOISY!! Having used smooth quiet lines for a while I enjoyed the adrenaline pumping shreek shreek shreeking of a metre long snapper bolting toward the reef... similar sound to the old TD Sensor.This particular snapper drilled me in the reef but the j-braid 4X passed the abrasion test, Its strong.Conclusion: its not "cheap", its just different.
