Daiwa Revros LT Spinning Reel

Great reel. It’s really smooth, and handles fish very well. Super easy to get used to, and I haven’t really had any problems with it so far. My biggest complaint is that the handle has a very large range of motion, so when you’re reeling in, you can accidentally push the handle into the bail, which stops the entire action, and can sometimes result in smashed fingers. I found that this can be fixed with a little rubber ring that I put between the handle and it’s mounting point to limit the range it has. Other than that, I can’t find much else wrong with the reel. All in all, a very solid reel.

Awesome reel for price.

As a novice angler this was a great pick! It was my first distinguished brand name reel with more than 3 BB and I could feel the difference right away. The spool is tiny which is great for lower ranged casting I don't feel like I'm wasting line. My only complaint is that bail wire could be bent in a smoother curve to provent the line from getting caught when casting.

Best little reel

This Daiwa Revros LT2000 is the perfect little travel reel. It packs down to nothing and has great actions and durability to handle surprising larger fish during my travels. I have landed nice size Snook, Snappers, Sea Trout and Permit, with great drag performance. I would recommend this reel for just about and pick up type fishing on the side when you are traveling around the world; rainbows to tough small moth bass, or any of saltwater species. I have several in my arsenal.

Diawa Revros

Just received the Diawa reel and have looked at it closely. It is very smooth for only 4 bearings. The drag is amazing for such a low priced reel. If anyone is looking for a low priced reel with good quality, you will find it in the Diawa Revros.

Great little reel but watch the plastic parts and cheap aluminum

I've had this spooled up and used for about 6 months. LT-2500 on a Medium-fast spinning.First, Bank-Angler mostly. The Reel is a great buy for anybody on a budget and can take care not have anything bang against it. i've nicked the soft aluminum on the reel. Had to sand/smooth it down now, twice! Once on a boat landing a fish hit the side of boat and nicked it, Second set down on damn bank and nicked it .Bent the bail on a 2.5lb small mouth. Landed fish, but the bail was massively bent. Heated it up a little and got back in shape.The plastic on the handle and on the drag head has popped off multiple times, finally with the epidemic got around to re-gluing.The sensitivity of the reel and drag works well, (who doesn't love the sound of a fish pulling drag??) ... MoreI've had this spooled up and used for about 6 months. Great reel, good price

I was a little skeptical at first since I have been using Shimano Sienna reels in the 500 size and this is a 1000 size but after using the reel I have to tell you it is a very solidly built and smooth feeling reel. Is it worth 10 bucks more? Only time will tell.The bail is solid, the drag is smooth. The only concern could the amount of line storage. If you have a tendency to break the line, get bird nets or hook into a large fish that could 'spool' you, you might be in trouble but that is the kind of trouble you like, a big fish. But you could lose line and cause a negative impact on casting distance.I have owned a couple of Daiwa's' in the past, cheaper and older models and have not been overly impressed but this reel changes my opinion in a good way. No better reel in this price range!

The Revros LT line of reels are top notch, I own several in every size and gearing. Never! Never had a problem with any of them. I am a multi day/week fisherman and these reels keep performing without issue. I’ve owned reels that cost hundreds of dollars only to find the garbage bin a few years later. These reels are tough and get abused and still perform as good as new.Drag system is amazing, super smooth action. I cannot recommend a better reel for the price. Hands down my favorite everyday reel.

Silky Smooth 1000.

I bought this little Revros 1000 reel to fish for whiting off the boat. Spooled with 6lb mono and paired with the Revros 1-4kg rod, this reel is a quality reel at an affordable price. Found reel to be robust and smooth even with 2 whiting on the end of your line. Love the big drag knob which can be finely adjusted and is silky smooth. Fishing for whiting on this light set up makes it so much more enjoyable and with the matching rod, I have the perfect combo. The rod for a 2 piece has a nice arching bend from tip to blank when substantially loaded and is a pleasure to use. With 5kg of drag, it would be perfect for chasing bream and flathead also, as to why I spooled with 6lb mono and paired with 1-4kg rod to give me that versatility. Smooth

I knocked over the reel that was attached to my 7ft rod which was only about the length of the rod's butt section. It had line attached to it. I thought no big deal done this plenty of times, but was completely surprised when the lip of the spool was smashed in. I couldn't believe it I had to get my needle nose pliers to reshape the lip and file it down. It's working ok now, but it's not the same. I know it was my fault, but when you're out fishing it's not uncommon to knock a rod to the ground. I think the (pre) Daiwa designs were more durable as far as the spools and rotors are concerned. I know the (lt) has a better a drag, but I think it's overkill and doesn't cast as well compared to previous models. Overall it's okay but what do expect for the money? Smooth operation but seized up after saltwater use

Initially very pleased with the LT4000C and its ability to hold a large amount of 20lb braid. Spent three days surf fishing followed by two days lake fishing. Always rinsed with freshwater and dried properly. Unfortunately, some kind of residue clogged the gears when I went to use it last weekend. After taking apart the mechanism and cleaning, the reel is back to 100% operation.Five stars for operation out of the boxTwo stars for waterproofing and general durability
