What a great little reel. I have spooled it with 9kg colour braid and this reel has a great feel and very very smooth. Many snapper have succumbed to the power of this reel. It is so adaptable as a stray-line set up, soft bait, slow jig or ledger rig. I have recently brought a second LT4000 for gamefishing spoled with 4kg mono.

I bought two of these and loaded with 15Lb braid. Paired one with a 3-6Kg travel rod to take to the Whitsundays in Jan on a yacht charter. Well, these reels are sensational. I landed 50cm reef flathead and a 60cm Coral Trout, my PB. Then last week I took the same rig to Lake Eildon and landed a 5kg Carp on the same outfit. The drag on these reels are extremely smooth. I have a pair of their big brothers, 21 Saltist MQand these little fellas are just like Mimi-me’s of the Saltists. There are cheaper reels out there but, if you can run to the price they are worth every cent!!

This is the fifth DAIWA reel I own, Nic and smooth matched well with my atomic rod. And dont mine the colour either.
After one of the staff spooled the new reel ( I'd always done it before ) I found it was easier to cast further if needed . And it retrieves so well with a fish on . Very happy !!
Absolutely love the Daiwa Tierra range. This 2500-D Tierra is a very capable reel with an amazing 10kg of drag and line capacity of 300m of 10kg braid and only weighs 235 grams.Perfectly matched with the light to medium Daiwa tierra spin rod range.
Very good quality reel for not very much money. I like the handle knob for comfort. Very smooth all round in operation. Highly recommended. Nice colour. Daiwa are on top of their game when it comes to fishing reels.
This is the second time ive ordered on line and the product has turned up feeling like its a second hand item with no wrapping or papers in box. First time was a fish finder with a scratch on the screen. This time the handle is small off the model below. Dont get stuff delivered pick it up and check items
Great Reel lightweight and easy to wind. Use this on the beach surf with a light rod. Great catching whiting and flathead.
I bought this reel for shallow water reef fishing and I am impressed. Love the metal body for using on the boat for toughness. Very smooth and robust with the easy to hold round knob while winding in fish. Yet to catch anything overly big but can tell from pulling up 35cm+ fish very nicely. 10kg drag is good to have also.
