The Oberon On-Wall wall speaker, equipped with an integrated wall mount, is an extremely flat, unobtrusive, and surprisingly powerful representative of its kind. It combines a large 29 mm tweeter with a 130 mm (5 1/4‘‘) wood fiber mid-woofer and DALI's exclusive downward-firing bass reflex port. In designing the chassis and crossovers, as well as the materials used, great care was taken to ensure an exceptionally wide dispersion pattern. This allows for a remarkably three-dimensional and well-integrated sound image to be achieved even outside the classic stereo triangle without angling the speakers towards the listening position. The rounded corners and coarse texture of the fabrics give the front grilles of the Oberon speakers a unique design. The two floor-standing speakers also feature an elegant aluminum base that reduces unwanted resonances. The membranes of the mid-woofers are made from a mixture of fine-grained paper pulp reinforced with wood fibers, resulting in a stiff, lightweight structure with excellent acoustic properties. In combination with particularly low-loss surrounds and centering spiders, the cone membranes reproduce even the finest sound details with remarkable clarity and precision. The pole piece of the magnet systems used in the Oberon mid-woofers consists of a combination of iron and the patented SMC magnetic material. Thanks to the significantly reduced third-order distortions, the speakers in the Oberon series provide a longer, relaxed listening experience with unobtrusive mids and an astonishing level of detail for this class.
