Darche - Panorama 1400 Roof Top Tent (No Annex)
For the dedicated 4x4 tourer, the Panorama 2 is the ultimate kit for your rig. Its compact design and super-low pack down profile reduces wind drag and overall vehicle height, perfect for lifted vehicles navigating the urban jungle between off-road adventures. This unrivalled RTT gives you the same simple set up and pack down design that all DARCHE RTTs offer, but its high-spec build gives you quality that will survive the harshest Australian elements. Stay cool and comfortable in the heat, while drifting off under the starry night views from the zippered sky window. Designed for maximum ventilation, extra large zippered mesh windows on both sides provide exceptional airflow in warm weather, without compromising on storm and sun protection. The removable fly and built-in air vents reduce condensation and provide airflow through rainy weather, while the gusseted window awnings offer you extra protection in all weather conditions. The Panorama series is made from premium 320gsm ripstop polycotton canvas. This tent has an impressive PU 1500mm water rating, seam sealing and a removable polyester fly that will keep you dry in extended rainy conditions, giving you great protection from the elements all year round. The tent includes a premium quality, high-density 50mm mattress with a removable cover and water-resistant base. This high spec RTT is made with an insulated baseboard, constructed from heavy-duty compressed checker-plate aluminium. The kit also includes a fully removable, durable PVC cover for protection when you're in transit.

The Rooftop tent is absolutely perfect! I am a single female travelling on my own and was able to set it up and close it down with no problem at all and very quickly. The first night of use, there was a huge downpour after I went to bed, and not one leak at all! Love it! And it fits well on my little SUV. The only downside I have is the zip for the cover. On my practice run setting it up, the fabric got caught in the zip and that was the only time, I had to get strong men to try and open it for me. Otherwise, I can do everything myself. Perhaps a bit of the plastic canvas to tuck in behind the zip would prevent this. In all the commotion, my zip broke and will have to get this part replaced. But besides that, absolutely perfect! (I now use a spatula to tuck in the canvas as I zip).It is also very comfortable. For extra comfort I bring along a camping mattress, but have slept just on the mattress provided and still very comfy.
Excellent except no setup / pack up instructions...only came with fitting instructions...Otherwise I would give 5*
easy setup and looks the ducks. looking forward to putting it through its paces over the next few years.
Easy to install and setup. Only down side would be any form of instruction would be great.
Love the tent and the price negotiated was brilliant. My issue was with the staff and the condition of the tent on pick up.All bolts cross threaded and threads collapsed. Broke my 13 mm ratchet spanner trying to get the bolts apart once the thread collapsed. Had to tie the RTT to the top of the car and take it to Bunnings to fix.Asked for assistance and got minimal help.I have shopped here and spent thousands over the years. Just would have expected a little more sympathy and assistance.Tent cover covered in Dust Dirt and Spiderwebs.
We've had Darche items, a swag, and that worked well before and was good quality so we went with the Darche RTT because it fitted onto the canopy well. At the end of the day it's still a tent on top of the roof but it's probably one of the better ones. The thing that really lets it all down is the mattress. Unless you are used to sleeping on concrete you will have to put something underneath the current mattress or replace it completely with an inflating mattress. That's for the product, but even more disappointing was the Tent World online experience with items getting lost, not being shipped to the shipping address but to the billing address and some items not even turning up at all forcing us to seek an eventual refund.
Easy to install and use. I haven't taken it out into the real world just yet.
