Great tent. Very robust canvas and floor. It remained dry inside with the first seasoning and has done so ever since. Have had it in inclement weather a couple of times now. It has never leaked and holds fast in windy conditions. I bought both the after market A-frame kit and awning walls and these have proven to be great additions. Although it pays to be wary of the awning extensions in high winds. On one or two occasions I have removed them just to be on the safe side as they were blowing and billowing excessively. It's quite spacious given it is a touring tent. I'm able to fit two Oztent King Goanna stretchers in there and still have ample room for bags and changing. 2 adults and 2 kids without cumbersome stretchers, would fit without a worry. The only downside I have is the rear window is not gusseted like the two side windows are. The gussets are an excellent feature and seems to be a huge mistake to omit it from the rear one. That small detail aside, I think it is an excellent tent for anyone looking for a strong canvas touring tent with relatively easy set up. A pretty quick one man job. A little heavy, but I split the tent and poles into separate bags and it makes for a far easier experience. Highly recommend it.......even more so at Snowys' competitive prices!!

This is the dearest and best quality tent that I have bought so far. The materials are very good, the guy wires are much better than on cheaper tents and it's relative straightforward to put up. There's plenty of room inside (I highly recommend that you buy the A-Frame kit to go with it) and I'm looking forward to using it often in the coming years. Couple of minor niggles though: - It's a shame the back window is not gusseted like the others - It needs to come with a lot more pegs than it does as what was in the bag was nowhere near enough to peg the gusseted windows out with the other guy ropes - The front door flap cannot be raised as a mini awning if you don't need to attach the front awning that comes with it. I fixed the above issue by putting in a couple of eyelets and used the supplied poles. I also used a couple of guy ropes that I had already to peg it out. This arrangement is absolutely fine in dry weather, or where you may have limited room (see attached photo). Apart from these items, I think it will be a good purchase.

Good tent overall, doesn't leak, decent quality canvas, nice airflow, setup/packup is straight forward. Has quite allot of guy ropes but I use screw in pegs so it is allot quicker, bu hand it would be a nightmare. Very hard to stop the front of the tent from sagging, i think it's common with these touring tents. The poles suck, the centre pole will no doubt start slipping over time, the awning poles do not tighten allot, one of mine already failed in not overly windy conditions. The spring mechanism for the rear extension support pole already popped out on mine. Would still recommend this tent just be prepared to replace the poles.

Took our new tent out camping for a couple of nights. Very easy to put up and pull down. Heaps of space inside, including height (I'm tall and I could stand up inside). We had a couple of heavy thunderstorms on the second night and the inside of the tent stayed dry. A great tent.
I decided on a canvas tent and got this as it is pretty much the smallest one that you can stand up inside. I didn't quite realise how big and cumbersome it would be. It comes in a square bag that has these long handles on it, so to get the bag off the floor you almost have to lift the handles up high to your shoulder height and it is very heavy. I do not know how I am going to go getting this tent from the house in to the car and everything. It is a pity that the folding up and packing of it wasn't better designed to make it easier to move around. I am sure it is a pretty good tent to use otherwise.
I have had Darche swags and have had the pleasure of experiencing their amazing warranty and service. We got this tent for the kids and my wife to have more space but still enjoy the benefits of a REAL canvas tent. It is so easy to put up it is almost ridiculous. Anyone who says it is hard to get back in the bag is doing it wrong. TIP:: simply leave the 4 pegs in, and tilt the centre section side to side creating oragami folds. Now un peg 2 of the 4 pegs and fold using the tension of the other 2 pegs. Now unpeg the final 2 and fold over.. plenty of room in the bag now !! Also the Awning is epic. It is huge and water runs off perfectly.
I have taken this out in summer twice now, and it is solidly built and survived a summer storm with ease. All the park rangers that checked in with us really liked the setup with the optional awning side panels! It stands out of the sea of bright blue and orange tents in the camp ground by blending into the environment. With the lower vents open, it breathes very well with no hint of condensation. The optional internal A-Frame provides a gigantic internal space that's big enough to fit a queen airbed with space left over for bags. There seems to be a couple of mistakes on the description, as only the two side windows are gusseted. It is what you'd expect from a mid-range canvas tent, with some excellent small details but some lacking small details. It is what you'd expect from a mid-range canvas tent, with some excellent small details but some lacking small details. For a tent in this price range, I'd expect reflective guy lines. The supplied guy lines are good quality though, but the extra safety of reflective lines should come as standard. The front awning poles aren't obvious to use at first, you have to twist the bottom and middle 1/3 in opposite directions to lock - the grip at 1/3 up is just a decorative plastic cover. The locking mechanism itself isn't very good, and the poles tend to collapse under load. Some knurling and stamped instructions on the poles would make them much easier to use, and a hole in the bottom feet would stop them from shooting off when the poles are collapsed down. I've decided to not use these poles at all and use fixed poles instead.
I've used this tent for two weekend trips with the kids and one week long bush/fishing camp. Very quick and easy set up. Good quality canvas that held up well to a lot of rain. Lots of room inside for two. The bag is a fairly tight fit but not too bad. No issues on the weekend trips. On the week long trip (winter) we had some fairly strong winds and heavy rain. I found the centre pole tended to slip down in the wind causing the tent to sag which in turn allowed water to pool on the canvas at the front of the tent which did lead to some water getting inside. Fortunately I returned to camp in time to stop it getting too bad but I did have a small swimming pool inside. Fortunately I returned to camp in time to stop it getting too bad but I did have a small swimming pool inside. I was lucky enough to have a spare aluminium pole with a screw pin lock to replace the Darche pole. This made the tent far more sturdy and I had no more issues. Although the winds were strong they weren't anything I wouldn't expect a decent quality tent to withstand especially when all guy ropes were used. The centre pole slipped several time during the week and I don't think I'd risk a trip with the supplied pole again. As a previous review said, I'd suggest drilling a hole in the supplied pole and putting a pin in or buying a different pole altogether. The tent would maybe benefit from having a couple of loops for pegs at the entrance door. All in all it's a quality product and I'm pretty happy other than with the performance of the centre pole.
I reckon it's a well designed tent, pretty easy to set up, with excellent ventilation, it's suitable for a couple of big people or two average sized adults and two kids. Plenty of head room, which takes the drama out of getting dressed. My only "problem" is the bag which the tent packs into is very tough and top quality, however the zipped opening is small and it's a real challenge to get the tent back in the bag, so recommend, if you're going camping from one camp ground to another a few times in one trip just leave the tent folded up but not bagged when going to the next campsite. I'm thinking of getting my tent bag altered by having a much longer zipper that goes around the 3 sides of the bag which would make getting the tent back into the bag a hell of a lot easier.
Too good! We got it as we lost our last decathlon pop up tent in the rain 😂 this one sustained and for good! It is like a mini house and easy to assemble too! The main rod is quite heavy so you need two people for the assembly for sure. However i dont like how the pole stands just right in the centre i am always scared i might accidentally push it while sleeping lol.But you need better sand pegs to setup the awning as the ones provided are no good in wet sand and for the tightness required otherwise rain water do get accumulated on the top.
