Detailed & clearly set out. Hard copy would have been more practical. Kobo reader slow to navigate back & forward.

A very well written and comprehensive guide to the camera. Nice explanation of the menu and how to achieve the correct focus and exposure. A good introduction to a complicated camera.

The author is a little long winded at times during chapter introductions. But, the information contained is solid. The best source book for the Sony A7R II around.
First of all would like to say, when I ordered this book, I ordered the wrong one. This book is for an A7r and mine is an A7. BUT....with the help of my local BAMM, I was able to return the book and purchase another with no problem at all. THANKS BAMM! Returns, especially at Christmas, can be a pain. This was painless. After purchasing the A7 book, I would say this book was a GREAT help for my new toy. The first 2 chapters get you to taking pictures quickly. The next couple of chapters teaches you how to "tweek" the settings of the camera by going through EVERY menu option very well. The rest of the book goes through other options for the camera. GREAT BOOK!!
This book is exactly what it is represented to be. It's all about how to run your Sony a7R IV. It presumes you know about the technical aspects of photography (exposure, composition, etc.), and instead focusses on the technical aspects of making your camera do what you want it to do. Orderly, well-presented and explained, and well-illustrated. Every technical feature of the camera is explained - what each button, switch, and menu item does and how to make it work, with practical advice concerning the photography process it is meant to address. This is the instruction manual your a7R IV didn't come with!
Mr. Busch writes with clarity and simplicity. He produces an easy read with a great deal of useful information.
Purchased this book as a Christmas gift and it was delivered on time. I expect it be put to good use but I don't use a Sony system so I can't evaluate it. The author has written many manuals for the Sony systems so I expect that he is an expert on the Sony systems.
Very comprehensive and full of valuable information to get you started. I am enjoying reading this book, learning to get the best out of this amazing camera. Well worth having.
Covers every issue for the camera's operation and functionability. But I would highly recommend no matter how many sources or information from realizing what you have to learning every facet of this camera just as the camera and 'all' of it accessories is so much of a must to obtain like having an addiction - the more you read to use to see your results, you have to become addicted from learning the ultimate about the camera and everyone's viewpoint of it to the camera itself. Just one example of it's ability even with the lesser lenses to produce this kind of results as searching out almost impossible to find with the naked eye with just this 24-240mm zoom lens is 'unbelievable'.
