I love the product, but do not like the packaging. I feel like this is gentle enough to use multiple times a week for my fine, but thick blonde hair. It's obviously not as strong as your regular "purple" products, but I love that it leaves my hair feeling healthy and not brittle like all those products usually do. As some other reviewers have said, fumbling with the lids and caps in the slipper wet shower is frustrating and I end up getting water in the conditioner usually. Overall, I still enjoy the product enough to buy again, but I wish they would consider utilizing different packaging!

It’s the best shampoo I’ve ever used.My hairdresser used this on me at the salon and I fell in LOVE with the smell… it’s intoxicating, but subtle. It does NOT smell “chemically” like someone else falsely mentioned. I knew I had to buy some after she used it on me! I initially bought it just because of how good it smelled lol. It makes my hair feel and smell so wonderful. It’s not a super pigmented purple shampoo, like a lot of other purple shampoos are- it makes my hair silky and shiny and I use it everyday. Hair breakage.

I ordered this because I loved the de de Davines and thought I could have used a little shine to my hair and the product description fit what I was looking for. Received and washed my hair with only one application. Had no issues prior and when combing my hair after the wash there was an extreme hair loss. Handfuls. This is continuing daily and more so with each washing even though not using this product. Not sure when or if it will stop. Really discouraged over this whole thing. I cannot style my hair anymore and just let it air dry. The breakage is horrible. I bought the conditioner too and did not use but will be returning also. This has been going on for 4 weeks now. Way too strong for a 'gentle shampoo' ....it's not. So sorry I tried this.

I was so hopeful about this. I am so surprised everybody else liked it so much?! I don’t know if it was a bad batch or something? It was literally the worst shampoo I ever used. I have fine straight balayaged hair for reference. Dried my hair so much (i don’t even have dry hair) I was shocked. I tried to use it twice and then binned it! Smells nice but that’s it for me. I prefer the oi range.

Not for me

I am a big fan of davines nou nou and thought I would try this range as my hair is fine and bleached. It left my hair feeling bright and incredibly soft. So soft and weightless that everytime I used this range I felt my hair was floating around my head like candy floss. I prefer a little weight to create definition so won’t repurchase.

One of the best solutions for blond hair!

My hairdresser used this shampoo and it instantly caught my attention with a pleasant fragrance. I purchased it for use at home and have been using it since.I've been dying my hair for the last 10 years and while I try to take breaks between coloring sessions to minimize the damage, it still leaves my hair distressed and dry. I'm always searching for a good shampoo/conditioner/mask to help me with this and while there are a few great brands, Heart of Glass is definitely on top of the list now. I use it together with the conditioner from the same line. It leaves my hair (thin and quite hard to manage usually) very hydrated and smooth but without weighing it down. Shiny but FLAT hair

This really didn't work for my natural blond, fine hair. It did make my hair soft and reasonably shiny, but I also ended up with the flattest, most lifeless hair I've had in my life. No amount of styling or product could give me the slightest movement, bounce, or volume. My hair didn't look dirty, exactly, but just hung there, lank and heavy. I'm going to use this bottle up by using it a couple of times each week, alternating with virtually any other shampoo I can find. Seriously, the cheap drugstore stuff my husband uses makes my hair look better than this.For those sensitive to fragrance - or who just don't want to smell their shampoo all day - be aware that this one is VERY strongly scented. Smells amazing!

I recently bought this shampoo to try and revive my blonde hair which has highlights. The first thing I want to mention is that this shampoo smells really gorgeous but it isn’t floral or overpowering. This left my hair lovely and silky and smooth and reduced brassy tones without making my hair look dull or flat. Am keen to try other products from this range.

Wonderful shampoo!

I’ve been using this shampoo since it was released from Davines last year. I have long, super highlighted blonde curly/wavy hair and this plus the conditioner and glaze cleans my hair and leaves it so soft and hydrated. I only wash my hair every 5-7 days. It gives me volume, doesn’t irritate my scalp or leave it greasy. My stylist keeps commenting on how healthy my hair feels and looks. I recently tried Oribe’ new hair alchemy and within two weeks noticed tons of breakage. Returned to my HoG and hair is back to feeling strong, soft, and full. Nothing against Oribe, I love that brand, but that one line didn’t work for my hair. Heart of Glass is great for my processed blonde hair!

After dying my hair (balayage) for the past four years now it started looking very frizzy and untamed. Especially after the use of strong purple shampoos after a hair wash my hair would look very dry and damaged. I have been using the heart of glass - shampoo and conditioner for about a year now and swear by it. my hair is silky smooth and more manageable after every wash. Everyone has been complementing my hair, even my hair dresser! It does help with getting rid of some of the brassiness, however, i would recommend using a stronger purple shampoo once a month.
