I bought this washing line a year ago and it would be great if the locking mechanism didn't keep failing and I didn't keep getting hit in the head when taking washing down. The colour is nice and the idea of having different amounts of hanging space is good but just now when taking a blanket off I got hit badly and I am going to take the darn thing off the wall because I really got hurt. I have had several people try to get it to lock securely into position but it comes unlocked very easily. I'm not sure if I got a faulty one but I don't think so. It was installed by a professional.

Easy to assemble with the correct equipment. Glad I read other reviews and saw that I need to but the fixing bolts. Plastic line tensioners should be hardened material. one came loose when setting up and I was very careful not to over tighten.

I chose this mini fold-down clothesline as it was a good size for a one person household. Doesn’t take up much room when folded out and fits down beside the fence when not in use. Bit tricky to install on the timber paling fence and the box doesn’t come with the 4 bolts and nuts to secure it to the fence. It only has 4 lines but a longer cord so a family member is coming back to drill an extra hole on each side to make one more line to hang washing on. I found the lines too close together so that made it difficult to hang clothes. The folding down mechanism doesn’t work well so will need to take care when putting it up and down.

Had this one up for about 6 months now. Very easy to put up. Colour is almost like the paint colour Dune. Almost a taupe colour. Happy with the purchase. Not a big line - I only use it for the sheets, rugs, towels etc. Perfect size for one or two people for this use.
Exactly what i needed. I also purchased the stand and set it inside concrete and blocks. Dug it into the ground for more stability. Instructions were mostly clear. Although went i picked it up from TSC my 2 boxes had been opened and clear taped back up. I was not happy about it, i was afraid that something was missing but everything was there. And if i ever decide not to use it, it becomes a great trellis.
Bought to mount on our boat rack on our opus 4 camper trailer. It fits perfectly, no adjusting required, just needed to make a bracing/backing bracket. Would have been great if it came with bolts but I guess because it’s versatile they can supply bolts for all. M8 bolts fit the mounting holes well.
Useful for 1 year only. Useless now. The Daytek plastic line clips are a terrible, production saving design flaw. The lines should go through the frame itself. One clip is snapped; others are on the way out. Just the weight of wet clothes is enough to bend and break them. Not worth my time to dismantle.
This clothesline was installed on my new build and it’s absolutely shocking. The ‘locking’ mechanism barely works, and if you’re not careful you will get hit in the head with a full load of wet washing as it collapses on you. Don’t bother buying this brand at all.
I bought this 5 years ago, and just took it out the box in the last week to install.It all fitted together fine with the exception of stringing the line.The securing clip is plastic and that snapped when securing the first string, so I had to tie it to the bar. The other end pulled out.Needless to say the second drop down section I had to tie the cloths line to the bar at both ends.Why dont they make the securing system in steel?On that basis I am very disappointed with the product and would not recommend it.
We bought this product trusting the Australian made product. Some nuts were not threaded so we had to use other. Mounting bolts were not included. After setting up clothline grip plastic bolt can be tightened and they were loosen automatically and lost over the period of time. We have tighten it to the frame now. After spending so much time and effort who will undo everything and go back to Bunnings to get another product especially you already have drilled in the walls. Stay away from this product and try to critically assess any other product from this brand. I wish I could give minus stars. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE WASTED MY MONEY.
