DBX has produced this dual channel feedback suppressor with an awesome LCD digital screen, which cancels unwanted feedback noise for your live or recording set up! Not difficult to use and Wizard setup function configures noise eliminating filters, to cancel that unwanted feedback, so you’re all ready to record or perform.

I use this for Live sound for our worship band at church . This thing shuts down unwanted feedback like right now . I used the Wizard option and it was very easy to set up . It actually forces you to create feedback on every microphone fader slide and as soon as it started to feedback the afs2 eliminated it and locked in the filter. Pretty amazing. Works beautifully.

I have used several different systems over the years, and this latest DBX unit is by far the most transparent and effective. The adjustable time 'auto release' on the live filters is very useful. The new LCD screen makes setting up very easy and very fast. It is superb on AUX sends to stage monitors, but transparent enough for mains too. Totally recommended.

I bought this to use with my "acoustic" Celtic band. Lots of instruments with open mics and pickups of varying quality. I'm an old-school person when it comes to managing feedback thinking you should be able to manage with a 31 band EQ but I had become increasingly frustrating trying to eliminate feedback while mixing from the stage while also performing. I finally bought this unit and it worked flawlessly. I could hear a few frequencies on the edge of feedback during soundcheck but once the unit was activated there was no feedback for the entire gig. In fact, I'm going to have to adjust my gain structure because I had more gain available than ever before. FYI: I put this in the signal chain between my mixer and the powered PA which is a Harbinger MuV MLS800 Line ... MoreI bought this to use with my "acoustic" Celtic band. I was really impressed by the literature and research I did on the DBX AFS2 and ordered one to use for our band. I hooked it up between the mixer and the power amps and followed the instructions for the Wizard. However, the Wizard button didn't light up or do anything and the select knob didn't work either. You are supposed to be able to rotate the select knob to select choices and press it to confirm, it did neither. I returned the unit and received my refund. So very happy with B&H customer service but unfortunately not very happy with the dbx .
This device is amazing. Hooked up between my sound board and my Crown amp. Small hall. Five hanging mics. Hit the wizard button, ran the faders up to feedback and watched the unit notch out every offending frequency. The live filters take over from there. Easily save the configuration. Got at least 5 dB more gain in the house system.
Plugged it into the signal path and it just works. It identifies feedback frequencies removing them from the audio system without degradation, and does it surprisingly fast and effectively.
I have two of these now on stage monitors. As a single handed soundie the time these save me ringing out is great, using the wizard, open the mics and just push up the faders. The device figures out what filters you need. Sound quality is excellent, filters very narrow and in the right place means sound is unaffected and often better than without.
our front monitors were notorious for randomly going into feedback mode and the guys on the soundboard mixer were always having to fool with it and despite best efforts, lots of feedback always resulted. this fixed the problem so well we ordered another one for the rest of the system. The operation is easy and guides you through the process of tuning the system. A good short video is online that you can watch which also helps. I would recommend this to anyone having live music feedback issues.
we bought a Berenger unit and this one and did side by side testing. The AFS2 installed quickly and works great. We bought another one - one unit is set up for the monitors and worked amazingly well to eliminate feedback for singers. We use another one on the mains in our audience facing speaker system.I can't say enough good things - the online videos for the set up were great training for our sound team. If you have feedback issues this is what you need - the auto system tuning is simply fantastic - the user interface and ease of use can't be overstated. Like I said we bought one and it worked so well we bought another one. Parts express only had one in stock however so we bought the second one on amazon - parts express please stock more of these!
