Look, I don't know why, but I have always hated spaghetti, I do however love bucatini. Some other brands seem to cook more quickly than the De Cecco, but it is lovely an consistent and cooks well. Very reasonably priced too, which is a big factor for us.

Bucatini is chunkier than spaghetti, cooks very well if you observe the guidelines, and goes well with pasta sauces. The De Cecco version is slightly better than the Waitrose branded version, as well as being a bit cheaper. Recommended.

Over the years, I've tried many brands of dried spaghetti, including some very expensive ones and De Cecco remains the best. One of the secrets of its success is that each strand is somehow made rough, almost as if it has been rubbed with sandpaper, and this means the sauce has an extra 'foothold' onto the pasta.It's good value at the full price and even better value when on offer. Highly recommended…
Got this as a substitute- always bought the cheapest - didn?t realise what I?d been missing all these years. Totally converted. Will pay the premium price happily- it?s worth the money. Very good quality spaghetti. Makes all the difference.
for some reason, I prefer spaghetti and linguine, so I thought I'd try this one especially as I find bronze extruded pasta hold sauces far better, and paired with my slow cooked Bolognese it was amazing, really tasty and it held the sauce really well, plus there is a tiny hole through the center which also helps.
De Cecco no 11 is a bit thinner than this no 12 spaghetti, not only does it cook faster, more surface area so it holds way more sauce, and softens with the sauce in a way no 12 does not. We (children and me) find it more delicious, always disappointed when no 12 is served because the thinner version ran out. Waitrose essential spaghetti is thinner like no11, but it is often sold out. The other thin spaghetti is Barilla no 5 which waitrose does not stock. Thought i'm mention this in case Waitrose is listening.
