I was lucky enough to experience both machines over the past two weeks and although I am not a experienced barista, I am fussy and know what is good.I found the Sage Pro was a bit inconsistent and I found it difficult to use.I decided to send it back. Build quality was good and it looked quite nice but I lost my desire for making coffee after using it. It was hard work. However, I persevered and tried the Prestigio and was wowed immediately. The build quality is awesome and it looks much nicer than the Sage - it just looks like a quality piece of kit and looks more special. It is not plasticky but great quality - sturdy too.The coffee is really consistent and really easy to dial in. Yes, it takes a few attempts but it is quick to learn.I didn't find any issue ... MoreI was lucky enough to experience both machines over the past two weeks and although I am not a experienced barista, I am fussy and know what is good.I found the Sage Pro was a bit inconsistent and I found it difficult to use.I decided to send it back. Yes, it takes a few attempts but it is quick to learn.I didn't find any issue with the number of grind settings as once I found the right one, I don't need another 38 settings! You will find the right setting - plus there are two levels of settings to choose from along with the 8 grinds levels. The milk foaming was easy and I quickly learned how to make consistent milk. It is really easy - just watch some videos and demos and keep it the same every time and you will get creamy microfoam easily. You just might need a better jug than the one provided. I find a bigger jug easier to create a vortex.I spent months researching machines both super and semi automatic and I am so happy with this Delonghi. Just remember how big Delonghi are and how much they spend on research and development. The support is also there if anything goes wrong.I would highly recommend it - take the plunge. It is a lot of money but totally worth the initial layout. The coffee is much better than a pod system and the microfoam is brilliant.

Pros: Amazing coffee machine, looks good dry easy to use. It’s quiet. I have chosen this model as wanted to go back to using the spoon method as to just pressing buttons. I feel like I am truly making my coffee. The milk frother is very powerful and huge compared to my previous machine. I feel like true barista. I find it easier to empty the spoon as you make your coffee as to emptying a drawer after numerous coffees being made on my previous machine. Much cleaner. My first coffee machine was a Gaggia with spoon which was fab next two had been bean to cup with grounds being dispensed into a drawer which is messy. So this is a dream. You can make your own coffee preference looks good and easy to clean. Comes with two cups for single or double strength coffee. It’s ... MorePros: Amazing coffee machine, looks good dry easy to use. Also as the biggest water container so lots of coffees before having to refill.Cons: Nothing perfect ??

Pros: Great coffee after a little time to get settings right to suit my favourite beans.Very easy to keep clean.Good sized water tank pretty easy to access.Cons: Although a big ask it would be good for new users of this type of machine for you to provide hints on setting the grind and dose for top coffee bean brand options. This would save a lot of time and a few wasted shots before the settings are right.
Pros: Great for making espresso’s and americano’ s very easy to use with added benefit of adjustable grind settings and looks the businessCons: The down side to the machine is the steam wand. Very noise seems to cut out after a certain time and takes a while before it will steam again, so unable to make more that one milk drink at a time
Pros: Looks good, quick to use. Easy to clean, produces restaurant standard coffee.Cons: Difficult to fill with water when machine is near a shelf. Could a graduated funnel be supplied with the machine and a mirror attached to the lid flap to ensure the water tank does not overflow, ideally a larger volume in the water tank.
Pros: Makes a great coffee. We had the previous model for 3 years but it started leak water and loose, so we purchased this upgraded version.Cons: Sometimes the wet coffee puck gets stuck on the coffee head, which can be a bit irritating as it makes a mess when using something to release it. Doesn't do it all the time though , only occasionally.
Pros: Makes a good cut of coffee, with a good amount of pressure.Cons: The tamp appears to miss the one side and always needs to be manually tamped. If you like a strong coffee (like I do and use the 2x to make it) the 2x must always be taken off or the machine will always grind too much coffee and even after many hard tamps some coffee needs to be removed before the handle can fit into the espresso maker. The "my" button is a stupid concept really as buttons almost always need to be adjusted for the initial tamp. Overall, I regret purchasing this machine.
