Long story short, the specs seem better than it is,If you can get it on sale, go for it, but there are a few things to keep in mind:1- Free sync only! (No G-Sync/xbox VFR) - While most freesync monitors work with freesync, this is only supported over Displayport, Also, this monitor only has hdmi 1.4 ports, so it may not support VFR devices like the xbox series x.2. It's edge lit - with light bleed, The monitor will look pretty grey-ish when displaying a 'blank' (black) screen.3. The monitor reports as 60hz at 1080p.The monitor seems capable of 1080p75hz, but you'lll need to force that in the graphics card settings, if you don't windows will limit the display to 60hz.And even with the fix, enabling v-sync in some games will lock you to 60hz.Other than ...Ā MoreLong story short, the specs seem better than it is,If you can get it on sale, go for it, but there are a few things to keep in mind:1- Free sync only! Beautiful monitor, perfect for work from home, Vesa mount, and the speakers are just right for news, radio, and that ambient background music when u work, not referring to serious music, thatās where headphones comes in, you can customized 2 HDMI input to 2 buttons for 1 touch operation switching, power button is lighted so you know where it is. NOW, the reason for 2 stars, there is one IMPORTANT FEATURE I PAID FOR, BLUE LIGHT REDUCTION, which Dell call comfortview, in the user guide it prompt you to select "Comfortview" from Color Menu, this feature is NOT THERE. Communicated with dell technical team via watsapp for weeks, they are a helpful lot but none can answer, I had to repeat myself many times and all will "get back to me". Some even told me to calibrate RGB setting, but told agent nicely this is not how BLUELIGHT works. Updated latest firmware, still the same. Dell community forum showed that I am not alone and many are as frustrated and "short changed" as I. Waiting for a firmware update where I can ease my eyes and I will give come back and give a 6 stars.

Excellent monitor for office work, text heavy research, light gaming, and photo editing (professional level). I had feared pixel density challenges with FHD on a 27 inch monitor but more than happy with the S2721H. As for the built-in speakers, I did not need them, but chose the Dell S2721H because it was on sale (and the S2721HN without speakers, was not). That said, they are "okay", as can be expected from tiny 3w units. The reason for not giving this monitor 5 stars, is the neck/stand not being height adjustable, and therefore ergonomically challenging - There is an HS version but unfortunately does not have 2 HDMI inputs, which was important to me. Thankfully, a vesa-mount stand from Amazon did the trick to lower the monitor to meet my need.

The picture quality is good. All LCD have good image quality, right?I bought this model specifically for the speakers but the sound quality is not good.I'm very disappointed. They truly sound terrible. My issue is that my new laptop does not have a 3.5 mm jack for speakers/headphones. only USB slots as well so my old USB stick sound card won't fit either (It's also a Dell.) If you want to listen to music, watch movies, or even video chat without having the sound akin to a tin can and string, look elsewhere.
Nothing not to like about these monitors, great value when on sale and combining the Rakuten discount it ended up at almost a ābuy one, get oneā deal.Swapped out 2x 22ā monitors for 2x 27ā monitors, the size difference is a lot more than we expected but couldnāt be happier. For spreadsheet work and general home working needs I canāt see how anyone could be disappointed. The monitors arenāt height adjustable but are a perfect height, I googled this prior to purchase and they are pretty much the same height as the 27ā mac (which also isnāt height adjustable).
The monitor has audio issues. I use it with my M1 MacBook, sometimes when I wake my laptop up from sleep mode, the monitor speakers mess up the audio. The audio ends up having playback speed issues, and feels like multiple files of the same audio are being played at different intervals. Also, the video playback speed gets affected. I am using a good quality USB C hub ($80), and the HDMI cable is the one that I got with the monitor. The issue only goes away after I restart the laptop.Apart from that, the screen quality is great and so is the built quality. Dell please take a look into this issue. Maybe it is a driver issue or a compatibility issue with the M1 chips
This monitor checked all my boxes including price. I bought it along with a new computer in an effort to remove as many wires as possible from over and under my desk. The inclusion of speakers built into the monitor was how I landed on this model and I was completely unprepared for how beautiful the display is; everything is just, um, MORE. It's great for viewing photography and really amazing for videos. I considered 4K but I'm not a gamer and with my face being this close to the screen, I really doubt I would have been happier with the view. Setup was effortless.
I bought the Dell 27 monitor after much deliberations. However, it failed to meet the high expectations I had from a Dell product. The focus in the screen is not as sharp and crisp as I would like to be. Sometimes the videos were not clear and had lines on them though the originally downloaded videos were clear. It was nice to have a pair of built-in speakers. But, at times did not get the desired volume or clarity that I expected though all systems were up 100%.
Wow, I am very impressed with my 27" monitor. I thought that it might be a little too big, but wow, am I glad I opted for the 27". I can display two apps side by side and see content in both (with zoom outs). I thought that I might be able to set a zoom out scale but only zoom in is available. Thus, I have to manually set zoom outs to my desired levels when I display them on this monitor. The biggest issue is moving an app from this beautiful 27" monitor to my 14" laptop monitor; yes, the zoom settings on one 27" monitor are totally unacceptable on my 14" laptop monitor. Thus, you can see that if I had a zoom out monitor setting, I would be all set (yes, I can deal with the loss of resolution when zoomed out). That being said, I love the 27" monitor. Colors are brilliant, detail is great, and context vs content is wonderful with the appropriate zoom settings. Would I buy it again? Yes, and I recommend it as its VALUE is much greater than the cost.
My previous Dell screen did some 16 years sterling work. When it works it is fine - but if the screen is moved relative to its stand it may go off, so unreliable at a time when reliability for Zoom is essential. There is an issue it appears with the HDMI connection - probably the cable itself, since the problem persists whichever of the two ports is used.I am 88 and have had expert support remotely and on site intermittently. I emailed DELL for help but have had no response. I incorrectly called it a SCART cable - but I should have had a response.
