Decent but could be improved

I was looking for a keyboard/mouse combination that would work across multiple devices (work, home, mobile). This seemed to fit the bill with a good full layout keyboard. A little bit of a rough edge would be nice. - The mouse isn't ambidextrous - The switch across devices is individual for keyboard and mouse (can be seen as a pro and a con) - The device switch is 2 ... MoreI was looking for a keyboard/mouse combination that would work across multiple devices (work, home, mobile). Yes. I still would because for all it's cons, it still serves the purpose and does so pretty decently. And although the skips are annoying, it doesn't happen very often.

I wanted to reach out regarding a recent purchase I made from your company - a keyboard. While the keyboard feels well-built, I've been experiencing significant issues with its functionality. Basically, when I use the keyboard, it sometimes starts repeating certain keys endlessly or typing the same character over and over without stopping. This makes it really difficult to use for what I need it for, so I've had to go back to my old keyboard. I'm pretty disappointed with this situation . It's frustrating to have invested in a product that doesn't work as expected. Because of these issues, I'm thinking about returning it and getting a refund or a replacement, if possible. I use my keyboard for about 16 hours a day in 3 different computers and I have to say that is just what I was looking as a function, but my rate of 3 starts is mainly for 2 reasons that I use all the time and the keyboard is not providing me the necessary features. 1. I use F3 and F4 all the time and having to select "fn" to activate the functions is taking extra time and sometimes leads errors in my programming process. 2. The raise legs had a terrible design, the reason is, raiser open from right to left and when I move my keyboard to the left or right the raiser tend to close by itself and I have to constantly open the raisers back all the time, first time that I see the design like that. The keyboard and mouse combo is good giving the choice of connecting 3 devices but for sure need more improvements. Would be great having better raiser legs design, prioritizing or giving me the choice to select Functions Keys as a first option and 1 push key selection for both the Keyboard and mouse. Mouse is good but no great.

Good product but not perfect yet

My review will be separate in 3 : the keyboard alone, the mouse and both together as a combo. The Keyboard I love the keyboard, it's midway in a laptop keyboard and a full size keyboard. It is simple and light and feel like typing on a laptop keyboard but with the space of a regular keyboard which is, for me, really nice. The button for the multi-device is ok, showing you the actual device number with the white led light on the first press and then rolling through the 3 possibles inputs, used or not. This is a little irratating but not a show stopper. The 3 calculator builtin macro button on the top right would have been more useful if they were just the individuals inputs selectors. For the keyboard only it's a 4.5. The Mouse For me the mouse is to tick by half an inch and to short by almost an inch. It is portable but not fun to use on a fixed place like a desk. The foward side button are hard to use alone, when you press it, it often does a left click too. The multi-device button rotation work the same way as the keyboard does. The top cover to access your battery abd the dongle is well done, easy to fit and don't fall off using magnet to stay in place. The main issu is that you can't adjust the DPI without Dell Periphiral Manager (something like that) and you only have fixed choices. It's a real office mouse, do not try to game with it, it's not build for that and it's not a good feeling too. For me the mouse is a 3.5. The Combo Together those really do the job for the combo price. My only cons as a cvombo is that they are not linked together when changing the multi-device. It should be an option in DPM to "lock" together the keyboard and mouse. Lets give the user the choice to be able to do it. For me the combo is a 4.0. To get the star back, we need to have unfixed DPI settings in DPM and to have the "lock together" checkbox. The mouse shape is really a personnal thing so it's up to you.

Great Buy - Quality Keyboard & Mouse
6 March 2023

I spent an hour reading about all the wireless keyboard and mouse kits sold on Dell website. This model looked like an excellent keyboard and mouse. The shocker was that this new keyboard weights 3 to 4 times the cheap keyboard that I bought with my Dell XP 9590. The mouse is good and more comfortable than expected. When you get your new keyboard and mouse, remember you MUST download the Dell Peripheral Manager first before installing your new mouse and keyboard. Like all the options you can program for the two side buttons and the wheel positions on the mouse. Really flexible and really easy to set and "undo". Of course, you can program the 12 Function keys. Really nice. Once in a while in MS Word, a letter near where your typing disappears but it comes back as you continue typing. The bump lines on the "F" and "J" key are low, could have been higher. Like the tactical feel of the roller on the mouse and the keys. So far this system is great and you really save money buying the two of them together.

Nice Dell Keyboard and Mouse Design

Mouse is comfortable to hold and click pressure is nice and light. Wheel is also multi-functional which I think I'm going to like. skid pads on bottom of mouse are long, curved strips and less likely to be the first things to wear out like other manufacturers. The keyboard has a nice set of quiet, easy to press, full-size keys. For its slim size, it has a nice, strong weight to it, obviously more than just plastic. The skid pads on the bottom of the keyboard are of two kinds: a long strip that covers the full width of the bottom of the keyboard, which I like since again, it should be less easy to wear out quickly. The pads at the top of the keyboard (on the back) are three (approximately) 1-inch pads which are deeply embedded in depressions in the back cover. This concerns me a little since they will probably be the first things to wear out, given the amount of movement around a desk that will put pressure on the pads. But since there is ample room to place 3rd party pads along the (back) top edge, these pads are eons better that the plastic feet on the most popular brand of keyboard, feet that always snap off and are impossible to replace. using pads instead of feet to elevate the top of the keyboard still works well because the keyboard frame itself has a nice pitch to it with elevates the keyboard toward the user. The elevation seems to be a compromise between flat and about a 1 inch elevation, call it about 3/4 of an inch. Overall, I prefer this keyboard and mouse combination to the most popular brand. Perfect keys
27 December 2023

I compared this keyboard against a couple main brands and Dell's KB900. Overall I liked everything about this keyboard except that it wasn't backlit (probably to keep battery life acceptable). This keyboard has a very fine texture on the keys which set it apart from the others. I was able to type faster and had fewer mis-strokes and I attributed that to the texture on the keys. It's extremely subtle, but definitely not glassy smooth like the other keyboards I tested. I would have kept the KB900 if it had the same feel as the 700, as the 900 is backlit and uses a built-in rechargeable battery - two things I wish the KB700 had but the feel of the KB700 won me over despite missing these features.

Perfect sleek keyboard/mouse to eleva your laptop.

I absolutely love how weigted, sturdy, and stable the keyboard is. The keyboard and mouse both seem really well made. Installation was straight forward. The action on the keyboard is fantastic - like a high end laptop with a full sized keyboard. It's perfectly tilted and flat to the desk in front so that it needs no wrist pad like old keyboards. The mouse is also very ergonomic and easy to hold. I bought these because they use only one USB port and reduce cable clutter, but I really enjoy using them. The only tiny negative is that the mouse uses a specialized battery. Make sure you have one on hand.

Rick's Review

I have used the Dell Premier Wireless Keyboard and Mouse now for several weeks. A full-size keyboard that has a minimalistic look, the keys feel great with the right amount of feedback. The titan grey finish looks great and matches the mouse which fits nicely in my hand. I particular like the flexibility to run this set across multiple devices. I have connected the 2.4Ghz Transceiver to my Dell/Dock and setup Bluetooth on both my work and personal laptops. Programmable keys on the keyboard and mouse buttons are a handy feature. Setup was easy and response time is instant. Recommend utilizing Dell Peripheral Manager which makes is easy to customize your devices.

Three way keyboard and mouse

Keyboard and mouse combination with the three target pairing is works great and was really simple to set up. Key feel and mouse response are also good. The tilt feet on the keyboard could use a more positive detent as they collapse when shifting the keyboard sideways. It is also really easy to forget which system the device is communicating with. I expect this will become less of an issue after using it for a while but although pressing the pairing select button will flash an led indicating the current selection this could be more visible. These are minor points and I am satisfied with the combination and consider it good value.
