Bought this today and returned today. I understand there is sometimes a manufacturing smell that burns off but this was epic. Didn’t heat room at all. Very noisy. Bought a $40 heater from woollies and works a treat!

This is the second of these fan-heaters I have bought, so that on its own is an excellent recommendation. I like the fact that it has three heat settings, including economy. The first one I purchased is still operating perfectly after 5 years.

Nice little heater that did a fair job for us when our central heating broke down for 3 weeks, it took the chill of a light airy roomMy only issue is that the fan is a bit noisy.
I'm disappointed with the Fan Heater, not much heat coming from it and the fan is very noisy.Not worth the money paid for it.
I bought it for a gift for a person who really needed warmth while seated. It only blows on his feet and cannot be tilted like his old one. A useless gift and a waste of my money, but the product itself is probably good for heating a small room. I don't know.
Pros: Very compact unit.Cons: It is a very, very noisy unit. When the 'silent' option is selected the noise abates markedly BUT there is hardly any heat generated from the heater. I returned for a refund and bought a Heller ceramic heater. Better value for money and so much more effective as a portable fan heater. This heater was a dud for me! :(
The only problem I have found with the Delonghi fan heater is the difference from when the thermostat cuts off and the temperature when the thermostat resets and turns the heater back on. Far too long and feels like the unit has failed.
We have used this heater in our small ensuite for about 6 weeks now, after our previous fan heater died following 10yrs of faithful service. I must say the Delonghi leaves a lot to be desired. Its performance as a heater is ordinary. On the hottest setting, the air is only just warm, and it struggles to heat the small ensuite. Compared to the old, very much cheaper, heater we had, the Delonghi would be about 60% as effective at best.
A quiet fan but it has a lingering smell. So it is outside in the sun and breeze while the fumes dissipate. However, I think the smell will persist thus making unusable inside.
