For example instead of having 1 piece for the headboard there were 5-7 pieces to put together just for the headboard.It had a strong smell to it (I had to open the window and put a fan on. And even had to leave the project all together because I got a headache from it).We've gotten Delta Children cribs and toddler beds before. The headboard and foot board (the main boards of them) on this toddler bed seemed flimsy.After getting it together and after a lot of the smell left (some which is still there), it's a bed and it works if you really need a toddler bed.

This is an adorable bed that seems to be very sturdy and great quality for my newly 2 year old. The instructions were very easy to follow. Building things is not my forté but it only took me about an hour (with no help). However, of the sides of the bed did not come with a drilled hole to screw in one of the guardrails on the bottom side. As a result, it’s a bit flimsy and won’t completely stay in place. Definitely disappointing as it was the last piece to be added to the bed, so I had already completed the whole thing before I realized there was a flaw with the bed. Obviously it’s not super safe this way either, because my daughter has already tried to lean against the rail and I immediately heard wood snapping because it’s otherwise screwed in.

I purchased this toddler bed based on the great reviews. The bed looks nice. The one bed rail broke less than 12 hours after being built and the second bed rail can’t be used because the screw does not match up. Buyers beware.

The bed itself isn’t bad, it was easy to build and follow directions. However, idk if it was the box or the wood but when I was building it I noticed a small ant I killed it and continued. After finishing it and cleaning up paper, box, etc I noticed a trail of ants, I immediately start spraying them down and throw the box outside. I inspected the bed but didn’t see anything the next morning there’s ants on the foot of the bed and were beginning to crawl up the bed!!! When I picked up my daughter I saw two in her pillow. I’ve been spending these past two days killing ants. At this point I’m just gonna throw out the bed
I love this bed for my toddler and so does he! It was very easy to put together and it’s the right size for a toddler also! My toddler is a crazy sleeper so he does have to have soft pillows on the side of the bed in case he falls off if it but it’s very low to the floor so it does absolutely no harm.
Bought for my daughter when she was 18 months old. I purchased this one, because we bought her a Delta crib and we were comfortable with the brands performance. My daughter is now 2 1/2 yrs old and still sleeps in it. It has held up nicely. Her baby brother got her crib and now he’s almost ready for a toddler bed and we will be purchasing another of these. For the price and simplicity this is perfect - besides, what do you have to lose? If you don’t like it, return it to Target.
Overall this is a great bed! It looks just like pictures, wasn't too difficult to put together, and can hold the weight of both my toddler and I. The only downside is that the paint/wood is somewhat weak, so my toddler has taken off paint/left dents in the wood by biting it. I tested it using my fingernail with moderate pressure and I was able to dent into the wood/paint pretty easily. Otherwise it's a great bed!
I don't usually leave reviews but as this is a health concern I'll make an exception. After 3 months, it still smells. Typical "made in China" oil based poison paint smell that I rarely come across any more. I feel like a terrible parent as I immediately noticed the strong smell when assembling this but hoped it would clear after a couple of days and basically forgot about it. I have been trying to figure out why my child's room is always so stuffy despite leaving the windows open all day.I bought the white version in store and yes, it was a pain to assemble as others have wrote but it seemed sturdy enough and looked nice. Maybe mine is defective. Sniff before you buy!

Purchased this bed in gray color. Toddler bed is very cute and looks exactly like picture in Target ad. Only drawback to bed is that it comes in almost a thousand different pieces. Try putting bed together with a toddler and a 5 year old running around. Needed it for that night since Grandchildren were spending the night. Started but in no way with my limited skills could I put bed together before bedtime. Started around 5 pm. Would have paid someone to put it together had I known. Bed is still not all built and I dread starting task again. Will eventually tackle it again before Grandchildren come again.
