Sound quality is excellent, but disappointed with remote. The remote is cheap plastic and has no weight to it at all. It should have been smaller with only the CD player controls, it has all the control buttons for Denon receivers but it did not work with my older Denon. The display is lacking, but I purchased this model for it’s sound quality not for its aesthetics!

In the short time I have owned the DENON DCD 900 NE ( just over a week it has been a pleasure to own solidly built great sound to its AL32 processing and pure direct system well pleased and recommend this cd player.great friendly service from Dawn at Lichfield.
I needed to replace my old compact disc player and was recommended the DENO-DCD-900NE-BLK by the manager of the Norwich branch of Richer Sounds. If has turned out to be a great buy at an affordable price.
I wanted to upgrade my CD player as I had upgraded every other part of my system and I really liked my Denon 800 amp - so chose the Denon 900 CD player and it hasn't disappointed. Great advice and service from Richer Sounds Glasgow as always and while there I upgraded my turntable stylus to the Ortofon Blue and bought better connectors.
A great complement to my DENON amp and my Project Turntable. So happy with it. The staff new what I was looking for and got this in specifically for me. The staff are knowledgeable and really, really helpful. I’ve recommended the shop to so many of my friends who have heard the products and live them too. Brilliant.
Love this Denon DCD-900NE CD player. Needed a new CD player and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg because it's was for a second system. Settled on this Denon and could not be happier. This CD player sounds awesome highly recommend.
Solid player. Like the ability to use a USB flash drive. Disappointed that it does not recognize CD Text on any CD's (burned or otherwise). My 20+ year old Yamaha player did. Happy with the improvement, but not 'blown away' like some other reviewers noted.
If you want to have an entry-level but very good quality desktop CD player. Then the 900NE is your best bet. Simple functions and beautiful appearance are the main reasons for my recommendation.
