I bought this "unheard" shortly into lockdown and do not regret it in the slightest. It replaces an old Marantz 5.1 receiver which never really got the use in surround sound, so this makes everything much neater. Such a good sound with a very solid bass end, clean midrange and a sweet sounding treble - there but definitely not harsh. With just the right number of analogue & digital inputs to hook up all the set-top boxes, CD player and the TV, this is an amp I use quite regularly now. Subtle tone controls allow me to compensate for a less-than-ideal room setup without swamping the sound with overblown bass. I listen to a lot of organ music and this really does have the ability to reproduce - and control - the really deep sounds. Bought this in the new year and so far am really happy with it - it has breathed new life into my old Tannoy R2 floorstanders. Its predecessor was a 25 year old Rotel which had served well but ultimately died. Sound is crisp and clear. I bought it because at this price level, it's about the only machine that does all of: proper hifi optical inputs, plus proper digital inputs for your TV sound, plus integrated Bluetooth to play music off your phone/laptop, plus moving magnet phono input. Most competitors have at least one of those missing. Well done Denon for putting the whole package together with great sound at an affordable price.

Prompt delivery and a great buy. Great sound too. Had a small issue in that the unit was delivered with a european mains plug. Richer Sounds offered to replace but I settled for buying an adaptor, for which the cost was refunded. Replaced a previous Denon amp that was 30 years old and had started crackling (and a few other strange noises). Combination of analogue and digital inputs on this model (plus bluetooth) is great - not all amps include digital inputs.
I have recently purchased this amplifier along with the CD player. The amp works wonderfully well - more than enough power for me and for my Monitor Audio 500s. What I particularly liked about this amp is the subwoofer output onto which is connected my REL Tzero. This configuration produces a warm and fulfilling sound with superb definition. I can highly recommend this product. Shame the remote does not adjust the bass and treble but then I do not use these much anyway. The Bluetooth is adequate but not stellar, however, a very useful feature.
Excellent combination of the Denon PMA600NE amp and Q Acoustics 3020i speakers superb sound quality. Very loud if needed and great clarity. Both work beautifully with my Denon turntable and Tangent CD player. Also fantastic service from James (based in Edinburgh I think). He was very knowledgeable and gave me a very good deal. Superb service from Richer Sounds as you would expect.
Purchased to replace an ageing NAD 3130 amplifier in a mid-range Hi-fi system. Fast delivery from Richer Sounds courtesy of Kieran at the very helpful Reading Branch. Much improved sound stage through my Focal Chorus speakers and excellent detail on all inputs. Sensible features and appears to be well constructed. A good product at a good price.
Pros: The sound is superb in the whole frequency range. Lovely rounded bass and the top end is clear and not too harsh. In fact, the whole range is very clear. I have heard a few things on Yes: Close To The Edge that I haven't noticed before - despite decades of listening time.Cons: The inclusion of an optical connector would have been handy/usefulThe printed manual(?) and the expanded Pdf version were really not very helpful. They told you what things were, but didn't fully tell you how to use them or what they are for eg. what exactly are the two phono 'Network' sockets/inputs for? I connected my PC Soundblaster outputs to the CD inputs. Works fine.
Bought it a few days ago. Excellent quality, excellent clarity of sound, excellent sonic details. Pricey perhaps, but definitely worth the money. My interest was that it has 2 optical inputs, which allows you to simplify cabling. And it has Bluetooth, which, for an oldie like me, is like magic (playing the music on your mobile from a distance on my amp)!!! It's a replacement for my aging Aiwa AV-NW30. Be mindful that when you first set it up, the volume button is at zero, so you won't hear anything!!!! And the Sales Team at the Chelsea store is very professional & knowledgeable. For some reason, HiFi with optical inputs are becoming rarer, so get such an amp while you can. Merci to Denon & Richer Sounds.
I am not some technical person, I just wanted a good, solid and yet up-to-date amp within a price range I could afford. This Denon has all that I remember of a great amp. The dials have a real feel of solid build, but the real big bonus is the Bluetooth connectivity built in. It means my Spotify has much more use. I was given great advice when I wanted to buy a series of separates (starting from scratch..again). My budget was listened to, as well as what I wanted to use and not use, so no wasted £ spent on frilly add ons I won’t use..ever. I truly love this amp. Sure, there are others out there that are just as good, but for me, this was the one. I could buy with confidence and knew exactly when it was arriving.
