From the creators of Halo and the publisher of Call of Duty, comes Destiny. Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler. It sparked a Golden Age when our civilization spanned our solar system, but it didnt last. Something hit us, knocked us down. The survivors built a city beneath the Traveler, and have begun to explore our old worlds, only to find them filled with deadly foes. You are a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Defend the City. Defeat our enemies. The next evolution of entertainment an incredible story set within a newly-imagined, always-connected universe filled with action and adventure. Create your character, forge your legend by defeating powerful foes, and earn unique and customizable weapons, gear, and vehicles. Unprecedented variety of FPS gameplay that redefines the genre and breaks traditional conventions of story, cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, combined with public and social activities.

A futuristic, innovative MMO shooter with RPG elements.

Great graphics across all platforms, visually stunning expansive sci-fi landscapes and extensive character levelling and customisation possibilities, but these aren't all that make Destiny a great game. The alien and robotic threats you face on each of the many game worlds are incredibly varied and interesting, have huge bags of tricks (and use them!) and bosses that will keep you guessing and fighting for your life. The FPS element is different from others in its emphasis on energy weapon and melee combat, speed and and 3D mobility. Your guardian character is super fast and nimble, allowing you to engage enemies in interesting and satisfying ways, and evade them when necessary.Only gripes are that it can get quite hard, especially if you challenge yourself, ... MoreGreat graphics across all platforms, visually stunning expansive sci-fi landscapes and extensive character levelling and customisation possibilities, but these aren't all that make Destiny a great game. The alien and robotic threats you face on each of the many game worlds are incredibly varied and interesting, have huge bags of tricks (and use them!) and bosses that will keep you guessing and fighting for your life. However, the environments are still breathtaking, diverse and are a joy to explore multiple times over - mainly because of the game's art direction and visual style, which is striking and unique, although a bit halo-esque.All in all a fantastic game and the birth of a successful IP that should keep people buzzing for years to come with new challenges, bosses and extensive levelling and customisation possibilities. The expansive MMO nature of the game means Bungie will keep updating the game world with new content to keep fans coming back for more. Also, is is important to mention that the multiplayer game mode (where you fight other guardians rather than team up with them) is awesome fun and adds an extra exciting, competitive aspect to the game other than MMO co-op.Don't sleep on this one!

A game that doesn't live up to Bungies high standards

Destiny is a futiristic MMO that has: a variety of ways to customize your identity, a large arsenal of weapons and abilities at your disposal and flawless worlds that are created to seem expansive and fully explorable. Destiny however for me was 'underwhelming'. Destiny attempts to pull strands from other games in order to have somrthing for many different crowds. However by doing this it makes everything in Destiny feel like it's missing something. I recommend that you don't buy this game as it may entertain you for a few weeks but it will bore you quickly. If you are going to buy it though try to purchase a next-gen copy of the game because on PS3 the graphics seem blurred and foggy, the textures also are rough, and the vibrancy of the game is dulled down by ... MoreDestiny is a futiristic MMO that has: a variety of ways to customize your identity, a large arsenal of weapons and abilities at your disposal and flawless worlds that are created to seem expansive and fully explorable. Good for the multi-player

Destiny seemed intriguing at first with such a large universe to explore. Then you play a couple of missions and realise that this is all there is to come. You can't find random people to play through campaign with either, only friends, which is inconvenient at times. The pvp is fun, the graphics are good but leveling up and getting improved items, feels like it doesn't really do much to improve your character.

WHAT A GAME!
8 October 2014

This is the evolution of third person shooters. I was a bit unsure about the game, as I am a die hard first person shooter fan boy, however I have not been able to stop playing this game ever. There is not one weapon which is completely overpowered and thus this game relies purely on the players skill which adds even more fun to this game!10/10 would rate, recommend, and play!

What an insanely Addictive game
27 September 2015

This game has it all. Amazing platforms for PvP matches, great storyline and superb missions. Huge Arsenal of weapons and armour and every update they make the game better and better. It's no wonder this game is doing so well and will continue to for years to come. No matter how many hours I've put into this game there is always more to do especially in character development. Great work Bungie
