I bought this mainly to take on a trip where I flew to my destination and knew I would be doing many day hikes. I'm 6'1", 165 lbs. It does not sit on my hips when tightly warn, but the weight distribution still kicks in, not that I'll likely have that much weight in it at any point. Nonetheless, the breathability is hands down the BEST! The vertical, center zip for the main compartment really does it for me, too. I can stuff everything in the sides, it stays. I have access to the whole compartment with a few simple moves. Ingenious!(if it has been done before, I apologize for my ignorance)So, not my first Deuter bag, and definitely not my last. But I won't need a day pack for many years!

I wanted a smaller pack for short day trips when I don't need a lot but still want a comfortable pack that has a solid waist belt and good back/shoulder support. This backpack is perfect, lite and convenient. The large compartment access is great. I wish it had a belt pocket or 2, but I have a small waste and I have more or less given up in finding those to work for me anyway.

Deuter is always Deuter. Light, comfort and durable. First of all, notice the small sign of "lady design" on a paper attached to it. But it is very comfortable for men too.- Straps are soft, and nice- Rain cover is totally fine- belt straps is divided into two parts and just the first part over the hamstrings has foam. the rest is kind of breathable fabric. This reduces the comfortable weight you can carry, but seems OK regarding its 28 lit size.- The only weak design point is that it has only one access from the top. Consequently, it lacks inside divider.

I like the small pocket on the top, which includes a key ring hook so keys don't get lost outdoors or in the bag. Great bag that I will use many times over the years and recommend to others.
I'm kind of a medium build, but I have a longer waist and this fit me perfectly. The women's fit was actually a bit short for me, with the hip pads lifting right off even with adjustment. Several hikes later, and I love this thing even more than I did before. The capacity is sufficient for a light overnighter depending on how you pack, and quite luxurious for a day hike. The material is light but doesn't trap dirt. It does get wet without the rain cover, but one is included (I didn't put it on for some reason the last time it rained). It looks flawless and I look forward to putting it on. It also carries weight extremely well, and is padded sufficiently for its size. I'm starting to feel like I'll never need another pack!

First, there is a vented portion in the back so that my back doesn't sweat as much. This vented cooling portion sits away from the back of the pack a little so that air can circulate. The back of the pack is reinforced with metal poles to keep it's shape and help with making this pack durable. The ergonomic straps keep most of the weight off my shoulders and instead on my hips, so that this pack isn't cumbersome to carry. I honestly feel like my load is so much lighter with this pack, even on hard trails. There are chest and hip straps that are adjustable and keep this pack comfortable. I really love the ...
