This review is about 3 weeks from purchase and 2 cookouts in!It arrived in record time 2 days from "My Deal "to Brisbane and was exactly as stated.It works exactly as expected and heats evenly over the central surface.The thermostat works well but the highlight marking is in black and the knob is black (needs a dob of white added we used nail polish to spot the temp in low light).The stainless steel so far shows no rusting it looks good. AUSWhat I was however surprised by was the lack of an on/off switch.This unit relies entirely upon the thermostat being turned down (no locking click off) if knocked it would start warming which is slow so may not be noticed unless looking at the lights and if you had a black plastic flammable cover not even viewable..I love this unit and accept its shortfalls.My 15 amp Wall power socket switch is my on/off.The company should incorporate an on/off switch on the face panel and make it guarded and hard to bump.

Great BBQ

First things first . If you decide to buy this, make sure you have a household 15AMP socket as it will simply not plug into any usual household outlet due to different size lower plug pin. Having said that, this is an awesome BBQ plate. Heats up super quick & retains it due to the 8mm plate. Thermostat seems to be true & quick to adjust. If like me, you want to use it at home, I grabbed an approved apdapter from bunnings ( Arlec 10A to 15A Compact Single Power Adaptor ) $50 to ensure compatabilty to a household 10amp socket. All in all, very happy.

Great alternative to gas flat top griddle

This is a great alternative to a flat top gas griddle. We used it for an office bbq. Cooked sausages, steak, fish and chicken. Also warmed up tortillas. Easily gets hot enough, easy to clean, and doesn't take up much space when packed away.

Great when gas is not an option in a workplace situation.

All stainless steel was easy to clean great for a small workplace to have a lunchtime BBQ. No need to worry about gas cylimder.

Happy with product

Workes really well . Washed all oil from top before use . Put it 150 to start and it smoked a little . Then increased temperature to 250 . Should not have done that as it left brown mark on plate cant get off . Recommend to use barbecue liner to eleminate this . Works well just the discolouration has happened. Looks clean with barbecue liner on now. Not sure what I did wrong . Everything thing else is perferct

Heavy duty - commercial grade product.

Purchased as an alternative to a new BBQ. Very happy with our decision. Great quality with heavy duty cooking surface. Perfect size without being too big. Easy clean up with removable drip container. Thermostat control very responsive. This is a commercial grade griddle that does require a heavy duty 15 amp power point which is an extra expense to have installed but still very happy with purchase. Much better than having to worry about gas bottles.

Not worth the money

Not happy that it doesn't have an on and off switch. You have to turn it off at the wall and like most outdoor BBQ areas the plug is under the bench and ours is hard to reach. Also found the food stuck to the hotplate and it rusted overnight. The heating isn't even around the plate so not easy for cooking. I have wasted my money as I can't leave this at our holiday unit as I don't think people will turn off.

Powerful griddle; needs 15A power.

Its really good. Lil tray that collects the oil n fat is a nice touch. NOTE: you need 15A wall socket power supply due to the amount of watts it requires - first check and see if you have a 15A wall socket or youll need an electrician to put one in. Plug doesn't fit in regular (10A) power supply wall sockets which are smaller on one end.

The family LOVE this griddle, just remember 15 AMP, so going to have to call an electrican.

Excellent griddle, gets hot fast, easy to clean down. Doesn't have an off switch, so we turn the temperature right down before we switch if off at the wall. Did have to get a 20amp thing wired into a separate bit in our electricity box. Remember that bit. $300 or so for the sparky. But easy for bacon and eggs, awesome at pancakes and stir fries, just having fun with it all at the moment. Everyone wants to have a go, so much easier than 3 pans on the stove !!!!
