Devanti Wireless Wifi Professional Weather Station Solar Sensor LCD UV Light

My recently purchased solar-powered wireless Weather Station looks good, was relatively easy to assemble, comes with an easy-to-follow Operation Manual.After assembly and set-up, it worked as intended.In my opinion, it is a great buy at a great price.Well done, MyDeal!

This the third weather station I have purchased over several years and would say it is the best of them in terms of funcionality and broad spectrum of measurement types. It is a bit limited with the mounting method because of it being just a short pole and bracket, so I was not able to mount it in the best position high on my roof line. I like that you can adjust the accuracy of rain measurement in the software.

This does far more than I expected, from chill factor to measuring the expected rain per hour during a 'rain event', as well as the phases of the moon. It has a load of other features which I seem to use on a daily basis (Yes this is unexpected for me), including a UV measurement.The rain gauge is very accurate as I have compared it with the one I have sitting in my garden and the measurements were identical during a rain event which ripped through. The display is easy to read and in colour powered by the mains with battery back up.Having said that, there are 2 things I would change -1. the electric lead needs to be longer to give more option about placing the display unit, I've had to use an extension lead so that it reaches the cabinet.2. It needs to be something that can be adjusted as most people who have these in their backyard would check in the morning(or is that just me).This is something I would recommend to anyone who is interested in checking the weather in their own backyard

I have been wanting a weather station for a while. Devanti kept coming up as affordable but good quality too so I finally purchased one on sale. Simple enough to set up if you are a bit handy, connects to wifi, easy to understand screen and even uploads so neighbours and family can tune in if curious... and creates graphs and data over time unique to your station. Gold I finally got one.

Definitely worth the money

I have had this weather station set up for close to 12 months and waited to post this review. Setting it up initially was a little challenging, custom setting barometer according to your elevation, wind direction and levelling for accurate rain fall. Once set up, flawless, reliable and accurate. Take your time reading the manual, adhere to the instructions and youll be fine. Would definitely recommend. Excellent value for the price

Difficult to set up and 3 months later does not work!

Difficult to set up electronically and utilising the internet. Then the outdoor temp stuck on 13C in mid summer Sydney region!! I turned it off for a few weeks - but was unable to return it so tried again. It worked for a few more weeks, no outdoor temp stuck on 13C and 99% humidity. Also I could not change the time when the clock changed, it just stayed on the MAC setting with its serial numbers. I am still trying to get a refund! I have spent hours on this item and after 3 months still do not have a functioning weather station. FYI Australian Bureau of meteorology currently states in my region on the NSW Central Coast that it is 2.42pm and currently 21.8C and 60% humidity - ie NOT 13C and 99% humidity at 3.42!

External temperature sensor may need additional insulation.

Overall this unit is excellent in detail & operation. One problem is with the external temperature sensor which appears to report higher temperatures than actual in the morning & evening when sunlight is directly falling on the sensor housing. I have checked it against a mercury thermometer mounted in shade & get readings up to 2.5 degrees higher on the weather station. During the middle of the day the sensor is shielded by the units housing.

Good replacement outdoor unit..

Outdoor unit on old station required too much maintenance. This Devanti outdoor unit was simply powered up and positioned onto existing mounting, and worked first time. Connection to WU (using existing console) never missed a beat .. This is a good replacement outdoor unit for some of the earlier (various brands) units out there.. Actually replaced an erratic XC-0422 unit as they appear identical in shape, mounting & configuration.. There is a problem with connecting new console to WIFI, seems to take one to the wrong IP address all the time. May try it again later down the track.. Devanti Console is not required at this point in time.

Great product, but getting a bit expensive.

I've had this unit since Xmas 2017, and it is still performing as it should. I use it mobile, putting it up and down on a caravan, and yes, it does take batteries, and yes, the light does go out, to save power. Not many 'toys' run without batteries! The information is excellent and the display looks great. Well constructed, pretty accurate, and good quality. It's just a shame that the price has gone up, so, so much. $149.95 in December 2017.

Really like seeing the weather just outside in such detail

Really easy to set up, the instructions are clear but detailed, and need to be fully read. I thought the unit was solar-powered as well as gauging the solar radiation but it's working just as I wanted anyway. Got the display unit on a coffee table as the viewing angle is top-down - you can't mount it at eye-level and expect to read it clearly. Box was a bit bashed and not taped up, but all parts on the parts list were there.
