Decent power for being compact. But the features included make it stand from the others. Decent ring light doesn't hurt. The speed/ torque control is handy. I love the one handed locking bit collar, makes swapping bits easy and fast, this should be a standard for all 1/4" driver tools. The battery gauge is helpful since this tool has a built in battery only, so those that complain about it dying on the job only have themselves to blame. For fasteners use only, any dingus who buys this to drill pilot holes for a deck deserve the letdown and hole they burned in their pocket. This tool has been handy for my diagnosis side of the job when just a few fasteners at a time are necessary and it fits easily in a poclet or pouch with its slim profile. This tool has been handy for my diagnosis side of the job when just a few fasteners at a time are necessary and it fits easily in a poclet or pouch with its slim profile. The speed correlates to the torque setting (just like Vessel) so on settings 1-3 I noticed the forward rotation is slower than the max 360 rpm, however this unit runs at top speed in reverse on any setting, which makes sense, I thought I had a defective unit until that feature was explained to me (oddly it was never mentioned in the manual). The controls work well and don't get in the way when you just want to use as a manual driver. I see this tool lasting a while, it's too small to need a detachable battery system, and some will complain about it, but hey atleast they put the thought into a dust cover over the charging port, so that should extend the life and lithium still dominate in longevetiy over your old nicad batts. This might replace my Vessel driver only b/c the extra torque, quick swapping bit collar, and fuel gauge make it more enjoyable on the job, although nothing compares yet to Vessels torque to size ratio driver, if they ever redesign it for a larger battery and a few other similar features to this Dewalt, then they may take the number 1 spot again someday.

This screwdriver is a tool I didn't know I needed in my life. It's made tight spaces a breeze. Anything from fixing a loose screw on some furniture to removing panels on an HVAC unit, this thing has been great! It provides more than enough torque to take screws off. It does not over tighten or risk stripping fasteners. The selectable speed is great when working with smaller sized screws.USB C charging port makes for less cables as well as a much more durable connection when compared to micro USB usually seen on cordless screwdrivers.I have found myself carrying this around in my pocket with me at work instead of a six in one. My wrist has much less fatigue at the end of the day thanks to this tool.

Overview:In general this is a nice and useful screwdriver. It's small enough I'm able to keep it in my backpack so I always have a powered screwdriver on hand if needed. It does work well, and the multiple power settings seem to give it enough diversity to handle various tasks.Pros:LightweightUSB C chargingPowerfulCons:The design is just bad. Not intuitive and clumsy. I feel like instead of rotating the knob right by the shaft, they could have made that the speed selector and just put a forward/reverse button on the handle. It feels very awkward to handle and use. I let a few of my friends who are competent with tools try it out, and it took everyone a while to figure out how to turn it on.Long story short, it does do the job it was designed for well, ... MoreOverview:In general this is a nice and useful screwdriver. This is a great little screwdriver. This is a great size and perfect for many little projects. The simple press design allows you to keep pressure on the screw as it is driving it in. I have used it for changing outlet screws which is perfect. I don’t see it driving screws as that’s not the design for it in my opinion. The screw bits come in a holder which is great but see it as an opportunity to keep looking for the great little holder when needed. The one minor issue I have is the charging port. I know it’s common but the little rubber dust cover is not easy to seal. I see it getting torn off pretty quick since it seems to be in the handle grip area. Overall tho a great screwdriver and reccomend adding it to your toolbox.
This is one of those things that I thought that I wouldn’t have much use for, but I use it almost everyday. The tool is a comfortable size and the battery life is great. So far I have not had a need to recharge it yet. Most of my usage is taking electrical covers off of either control boxes or outlet/electrical box covers. For these small screws the time savings is a life saver. The ability to use regular any 1/4’ tip means that I didn’t have to buy a new tools to get extra use out of this one. I can just switch to what ever I need and carry on.All in all it’s a great tool that I will be carrying in my tool bag for a long time.
Handy little tool for those small jobs where there are numerous small screws. I used it for disassembly of a laptop computer. They use a lot of tiny Torx screws to assemble them and to install the components. Worked very well. The one I received was not fully charged. I plugged it into a wall USB port and it took less than an hour to fully charge. You can also use your computer. The state of charging is indicated by three white lights. They flash individually as it charges. Fully charged is all three lit and steady. It also shows you the lights when you use the tool. There is a good selection of 2" bits included, 12 in all, Straight, Torx, Phillips and 1 square drive. It is a low torque tool so keep it's uses to small lightly torqued screws.
I wasn't sure what to think about using a cordless screwdriver for the first time, but over time I found it to be very handy. This tool isn't a drill you keep in your garage. It won't drive screws into wood like a power drill does. If you use a screwdriver for a job, this tool will do the job. I think it deserve a coveted spot in your kitchen junk drawer. I tested it out by swapping out some old light switch covers. I was worried at first that it was crack the plastic covers, but at the lowest torque setting, it did the job flawlessly. I also used it to replace a belt on a vacuum and it had no problem taking out and putting the screws back in the vacuum base.Pros: It's got more power than you think it does. The torque setting was quirky at first, but after using it a few times you'll understand how it works. It seems to stay charged for a long time. When it does need charging it uses a standard USB charging cord like your phone has.Cons: It's a kind of big. Not bragging, but I have large hands, I thought it felt too big at times.I think this tool is a great gift for the dude in your life that you never know what to buy for him.
This is a great portable cordless screwdriver. Form factor is compact and easily fits in different hand sizes. Easy to use in most positions, but I did find it slightly awkward when holding the driver in the vertical position with my thumb on the torque dial. This position made it difficult to engage the forward/reverse collar, especially when attempting to unscrew something (driver in reverse). Otherwise, this driver has ample torque, long battery life, and comes with a variety of common bits for every day use. the USB charging (USB A to USB C) is a great addition and doesn't require any additional charges or specific batteries. This will be a great addition to anyone's toolbox and look forward to keeping it in my mobile took kit.
Someone as thinking when they designed this tool. It’s very intuitive to use. Just turn the ring to choose tighten or loosen. But this is the cool part. To turn it on you have to push the ring forward. Well what do you do when using an old school screwdriver? You push forward to make good contact and not have the tip cam out. Well, with this Tool, you push forward for good contact and it just turns on by itself! No buttons or switches to fumble with. I am planning on getting another one just to keep in the truck.
I normally keep a drill in the kitchen drawer for random odd jobs around the house and small projects. While it’s highly capable, it also takes up a lot of room. I could use a manual screwdriver but that’s just slow and not as easy.Enter the DWHT66719. A blend between both worlds. It’s not as powerful as a drill but it’s far more compact and lightweight. It’s about twice as heavy as a screwdriver at 12.2 oz. More importantly it’s nearly 1/5 the weight of a compact drill! It comes with a set of bits in a holder, which is nice if you don’t have any yet. Although, It does not offer anywhere to store them on the device itself. Not a big deal to me as bits on device would just increase the size/weight of the device. The USB-C charging such a great thing to have! Not a big deal to me as bits on device would just increase the size/weight of the device. The USB-C charging such a great thing to have! No need to keep one more cable lying around when it works with what I have already. Since the battery is built in, that means I don’t have to keep a dedicated charging station around either. The little cover flap for the USB-C port is a real pain to put back in place though. You really have to line it up perfectly in order for it to go in.The method they chose to activate the screwdriver is a bit quirky, but it makes sense if you think about it. You never have to spin the device around to find a singular button to activate it. It’s a collar that wraps around 360° so you can always turn it on regardless or its orientation. I do wish the collar had stronger detents to hold it in forward/reverse better. It can have a tendency to fall out of place and not do what you want.As for power, it is capable of driving small screws flush into soft pine on the max power setting. Although, it is recommended in the manual to drill pilot holes first. Lowest power setting is still fairly strong for delicate tasks but as recommended in the manual, you should use it like a regular screw driver when you need that extra precision.Overall, I’m enjoying the change in tool choice. The drill will move back to the garage and this will be promoted to household screwdriver. It’s got a couple quirks but it’s well worth it for something far more compact and lightweight.
