I have all the flexi volt batteries now and was expecting the 12.0ah to be a little bigger as the 9.0ah was. can't really tell if it has just been repacked into a 9.0ah battery as the power at this point seems the same. For the price it would have been nice to see a difference as I have been using it all day and the 9.0ah cutting timber swapping between the two to see any changes. No difference noticed.

These DeWalt batteries offer the best ban for your buck in terms of $/Wh, though they are still more expensive (in $/Wh) than some competitors batteries. They seem like a good quality, robust and reliable battery. My only complaint, besides the price, is that when running a high-powered tool under load continuously, the batteries shut themselves down despite having plenty of capacity remaining (as in, two of the three battery charge indicator LED’s still light up). This is presumably to protect the cells which have heated up too much. I guess this is better than the cells being damaged though. And I guess it’s also an issue with competitors batteries as well, and is just reflective of the current limitation of tool batteries at the moment.

12am hour battery

The battery gives saws, grinders and planners great endurance. Only problem is when trying to unlatch off tools can require both thumbs and an enormous strength to get them at time to unlatch.

I have 5 of the 6ah batterys i use 2 at a time on my mitre saw and that lasts a day. using 2 12ah batteries it last 2 days with constant use. Brilliant batteries only down side is the weight but they look good aswell

Love these batteries that just keep pushing on.Bit big but the power across 2 platforms (18v&54v) is incredible

Good charger esp for the price

Replacement for a DCB107 I own. This charger charges at up to 4 amps compared to the 107 which only charges at 1.25 amps, so recharging is now a lot quicker, especially those larger capacity 5 A/h batteries. Very happy with my purchase and the price which was almost one third the cost of buying the same product at the supermarket hardware stores.

My Dewalt gear is 9 years old. The batteries have a higher amphour rating then my existing and they fit perfectly to all of my devices and existing battery charges. I appreciate companies like this who go out on a limb to provide a comparitive or supurioir product at a very affordable price. Well done brother ! I'll be back for more when the remaiding batteries die off. KR Geoffro

Much cheaper option than buying the Sidchrome branded Charger made by Dewalt.

The charger is made by Dewalt which is exactly the same charger used to charge batteries for my Sidchrome Impact and cordless Drill which cost three to four times more than the re-branded Sidchrome charger made by Dewalt. Batteries are also cheaper than those sold by Sidchrome. The only criticism I have is that is the charger doesn't charge as fast as their previous models DC105 and DC107.
