Good hedge trimmer, easy to use
My old 230v hedge trimmer finally died and needed a replacement. Already had a DeWalt drill and batteries so it made sense to stay in the same range. Turned out to be a great choice. Blasted through a 30m long by 2.4m hedge in about 3 hours using 2 batteries. A great machine and being cordless no repairing cut extension cords. Light and well balanced.
I purchased this trimmer because I already have several Dewalt tools and compatible 18v batteries. This unit feels robust and powers through the shrub trimming duties on my 3.5 acre property with large native garden. It runs for a long time on a battery charge and cuts well through branches up to about 6mm thick. It feels a bit heavy after a few hours use but that's the trade-off for a more powerful trimmer I guess. The double safety can be a bit cumbersome to use at times but not having it could mean a trip to the ER, so I'll pick inconvenience every time. I would definitely recommend this unit.
Fantastic, light weight and the best hedge trimmer I have ever purchased. I highly recommend this product. All I needed to do was attach my DeWalt battery as it has its own independent motor. Worth every cent.
I purchased this about 2 months ago and have used it on a number of occasions for some light hedge trimming. it has worked a treat. It was simple to use, felt good in the hands, relatively quiet, ran smoothly and did a good job. I haven't it on a larger hedge but I suspect it would handle one easily. The 18v battery was ample for the task.
Once again a great DeWALT machine. Very pleased with overall performance.
18v underpowered, should be a 54v version but manages to do most jobs, stainless blades a great feature, safety trigger switches are over complicated and annoying, otherwise works ok, doesn't stand out from the competition. Only purchased because I already have a stable of Dewalt tools batterries etc.Only 2 choices, recommend or not, will recommend because it does the job like all the opposition
Since purchasing the dewalt 18v hedge trimmer I have use it in various jobs on different types of hedgers and found it to lite to use, reliable, strong and leaves a good cut
