Really great gun, easy to use and works with my existing Dewalt batteries. Perfect for first fix work.Only downside was the weight of the unit but over Β£200 cheaper than my last gun and as it doesnβt use gas there is no need for annual servicing. Fired over 1100 nails and no misfires or jams.

Building a large extension at home and had hired a nail gun, this cost more than buying a nailer so decided to buy one. Found this on line far cheaper than other nailers from other suppliers so decided to buy from tools4trade. Good service, packaging minimal but all arrived safely. Carrier DHL kept me informed of delivery. In all an excellent experience. The nailer is working well does the job I want. Very pleased.

I have hankered after a nail gun for years but couldnt justify the expenditure, that is until a fence needed urgent repairs. Listed as a framer/first fix gun, its been very useful, I use 50mm nails on lowest power setting and they absolutely blast into the 2x2 frames, through the feather board. Im using a cheaper universal 34deg nail and not had any mis-feeds at all. The gun is the same high build quality as all my XR kit, very robust and feels good to hold and use. The auto lockout at approx 7 or less nails could be confusing but I read the manual and all was clearly explained. Although a big and heavy beast, the balance is good and it is comfortable to use at all angles and attitudes. The two fire modes are useful but the single fire mode can be frustrating as you ...Β MoreI have hankered after a nail gun for years but couldnt justify the expenditure, that is until a fence needed urgent repairs. I bought this nail gun after the pneumatic version packed up with a dangerous fault after only 3 months of proper use. This gun obviously doesn't need a hose being dragged to where you need it which is a lot more convenient. One of the things that became apparent with the previous gun was that when the nails ran out you weren't aware of it. This nail gun won't fire if there are no nails present so no more loose fixings. The anti-jam lever works well and I've only had to use it once. It's not as instant as the pneumatic version but you get used to it. Beats using a hammer any day.
Avoid.Underpowered tool with excessive recoil, lack of power and constantly jamming nails.Very unreliable. Doesn't consistently drive 90mm nails flush. You certainly can't bury the heads. Little to no hope of firing at an angle.Magazine doesn't push 50mm nails up correctly when using bump fire meaning constant pauses to manually push the catch up.Tool repeatedly misfires causing nail head to bend in firing chamber and getting jammed between the top of the magazine and the firing pin. This requires an allen key to remove the magazine from the head to remove the nail. This is something you will become accustomed to.Despite finding multiple other users with similar issues. DeWalt wont acknowledge the issue and once out of warranty appear not to care.As you ...Β MoreAvoid.Underpowered tool with excessive recoil, lack of power and constantly jamming nails.Very unreliable. So far so good.I have owned one of these for 6 years and It has never let me down.As a professional roofer This has had a hard life. I am awaiting a part to fix this older one as It needs a new pin. This is why I bought a second back up gun. I find these far superior to gas guns. On a negative side I would say Its a tad heavy. But you get used to It.On a single charge 5 amp battery It will run for hours. No problem. Highly recommended.
This is my second Dewalt DCN692N this one being the third generation model. This week since receiving the gun it has had several thousand nails through it both 70mm and 90mm without a single problem of jammed nails. The thumb wheel depth adjustment allows the nails to be delivered to your preferred depth. Quick and easy loading of nails. If you already use Dewalt products you will know that the build quality and reliability is outstanding and will give you many years of service. First impressions of this gun are outstanding. I cant yet comment on the longevity of this particular gun but my previous Dewalt nail gun is over five years old has been used extensively over that time and working as from new. So I am assuming this new improved version will do so also. I use ...Β MoreThis is my second Dewalt DCN692N this one being the third generation model. So I am assuming this new improved version will do so also. I use 5amp battery packs which I would recommend and its unusable to swap to new battery in a working day. If you already use Dewalt equipment and have the charger and battery the bare unit offers a great product at a great price. Powertoolmate offered the best price at the time and a well packaged and quick delivery.
Finally a decent 1st fix nailer that doesn't need gas. Really simple to use and maintain. No more heating up gas canisters to get the nailer working, just pop in a charged battery and nails and away you go. Typical Dewalt quality. Two small little gripes if I'm being picky, 1st is no specific carry case, that would be a nice touch to have a case that holds everything in place and 2nd is the joist hanger. Fits on timbers great but is way too loose for a tool belt. Maybe Dewalt could do an after market option. Other than that a great tool that has minimal maintenance and great build quality. AND NO GAS
After typically prompt delivery, my fairly well packaged Frame nailer arrived. Used it with 90 and 50mm Dewalt and generic collated nails and it works more reliably than the 2 Paslodes I had been using! Only think that causes a hiccup is when I very occasionally nail through a piece of cladding/timber and hit a nail/screw below, but easily un-jams nail and continues. The paslode ends up with crazy jams in such a scenario. Using 4 Ah batteries, 2 gets me through a shift of exterior wall cladding on low power for 50mm nails. Can give a little fatigue, since unit is bulky, however, I know of no lightweight nailer that will hit nails home, once tension set and knots etc avoided. The bulk clearly helps balance the impact with negligible kickback. Used about 2,000 nails ...Β MoreAfter typically prompt delivery, my fairly well packaged Frame nailer arrived. Used about 2,000 nails and in temperatures down to -4.5 over last two weeks, and the only failure was my ability to tolerate more than a couple of hours in such temps ;). My Dewalt frame nailer soldiered on.... Only suggestion I could make is on the case, couldn't some compartments be made to allow storage of a selection of collated nails in the box. Box allows for a charger, Dewalt's user centric development team, should maybe get onto this task ;) Overall, completely delighted AGAIN, with this addition to my portable tool arsenal.
