Amazing bit of kit. I have had a couple of cheap ones in the past these vibrate like crazy making your hand and arm go numb very quickly and also loud. Now this little delight from DeWalt is on another level very quiet hardly and vibration whilst using and the speed it cuts at is outstanding. I did not need a battery as i have a few other DeWalt tools using the same battery system so at the price it was a simple decision and a good one at that. So far i have used it to cut some large sized bolts from my landrover discovery suspension arms sand down the wooden garden furniture and cut some awkward shapes into laminate flooring. 100% top buy

It was a toss up between this multi tool and another leading brand of which I already have several of their tools and batteries, so not an easy decision. I needed something to get into awkward places and needed to cut almost parallel with the floor. The Dewalt is about 4cm shorter in length than the other tool and the hand grip is shaped so that your hand slots in very well between the main body of the tool and the battery compartment. I have big hands. This helps to allow this to be a very versatile tool. The no tool release for attachments is a breeze to use and I like the position of the light . So what the heck, I’ll give it top marks ,so far so good.

Watching YouTube videos and came across one using this tool so I explored the tool further as this seem to be what I was after to allow me to refit the new shower tray. I was impressed with the ease of using, power and speed for completing the job. My recently diagnosed medical condition means I should not do anything strenuous and this tool allowed me to still tackle DIY round the home -Something I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do anymore. Comfortable design and lightweight meant that the tasks were done with ease. Tool is compact and robust. Made a tough job far easier and quicker.

A new addition to my DeWalt tools collection. Easy to use. Love the tool free accessories changing system. Reasonably priced. However, I had £10 voucher code, which I entered and applied. The price was initially applied but when I finally paid, I realised the discount had vanished! Somewhere between checking out and paying the discount must have been removed! Very disappointed about that, but l blame myself for not double checking the price before confirming payment! Other than that, love my new purchase
Bought this a few days ago and used it once to cut a draw front off, easy to use and very comfortable to hold. Not too heavy. Blades super easy to fit and can be used in several different angles for awkward bit to cut. Cuts great and smooth. I used the battery from my jig saw and fits. The saw is not too big to get in tight spaces. Comes with a couple of blades and several sanding discs. Great tool, great price compared to competitors would highly recommend if you’re think of buying one while they are on offer.
Never used one of these before but I was told it would be very useful as I was putting down new laminate flooring. Once I got used to it, it was great. Saved so much time cutting away bottom of door frames and odd shapes out of the laminate.Has a useful led light on it as well, which thankfully shines on the area you are working on, unlike the DeWalt XR cordless drill I purchased earlier this year.Blades are easily interchanged although they are more expensive than I imagined.Overall, great tool, does the job, fair price, and 3 year warranty when registered.
An excellent equipment, a total pleasure. Solid, good design, well balanced and comfortable in the hand, tools easy and quick to change which can be rotated by 90 degrees to adjust to the situation, charger silent and efficient, good case for storage and transport. I cannot fault it.I bought it for refurbishing a bathroom and used most of the tools which all proved very efficient : cutting plasterboard, cutting nails in wood beam, cutting polyester front bath panel to adjust the dimensions, removing grout around tiles and wiping off grout on the support underneath.I cannot comment on how other cheaper brands work, I can only say I do not regret my purchase and strongly recommend this multi-cutter.
DeWalt were offering money off on this cutter/sander tool. I ordered it "click and collect" and was able to collect it the next day.I found out how to connect the HTS cutter and used it on a tree stump I needed to cut. It was straitforward to use and did the job I required. I already had a battery and charger, so I was able to use that. One weakness is the lack of clear instructions from DeWalt. I to look on-line to find the right cutter to use. They do not offer a manual on their web-site. The book included in the box is not very informative.
Wasn’t quite sure if this tool would be the best choice but having owned it for a week it has more than proved itself. Brilliant powerful tool, easy to handle and great for awkward cuts in confined spaces. Used it on day one to do cuts that would have been impossible with any other tool. Sanding function is decent too though best suited to smaller areas/detail sanding. Battery life is reasonable though heavier cutting jobs can be quite energy hungry so best paired with a larger capacity battery. Very well balanced and thought out tool from dewalt as you’d expect.
Have considered getting this multi-toll for sometime after seeing it being used by my next-door neighbor and friend who is a builder and often helps me with DIY work particularly where I do not have the skillset, tools or expertise to undertake certain aspects such as electrics and cable work , plumbing and pipe-work and certain woodwork.I standby to assist and watch and learn.I have recently refurbished a bedroom and he used one of these multi-tools extensively during that process to channel out new wiring routes underfloor and on walls to add extra wall plugs. the speed, accuracy and ease with which that tool did those jobs was incredible to watch. Having seen it in use on other jobs as well I decided that I should get one too. That decision was hastened this week when my son asked me to assist him with some flooring work that was requires after emergency plumbing work was required after he put a screw through an underfloor heating pipe on the upstairs landing. The emergency plumber resolved the leak but the floorboards were shot to pieces and needed replacing. On arrival it was clear that the new floor boards were wider than the old ones that needed replacing so to avoid having to replace the whole landing the new boards and the old boards needed cutting down to fit the hole properly. I decided t go to Screwfix and buy the multi-tool to help do the fitting and was very glad I did.It was excellent for all aspects of the cutting and fitting and performed brilliantly..I estimate that it probably more than halved the time needed to complete the work.As a first time used the variable speed in the grip was great in helping accuracy and build confidence in the tool's use.The 'no-tool' tool change was so quick and easy. The Multi-tool was relatively light and very maneuverable and I would expect it to be more so than a power-corded version.I bought the 'bare tool' version because I already have a DeWalt power Drill which has two batteries and charger so I didn't need another battery.I would highly recommend this tool as an absolute must-have for every DIYer.I bought the Bare-Tool version
