I use this little router almost daily and it never lets me down. It has a huge amount of power but is small enough to handle easily . Highly recommend this company and their products.

This behavior began as an occasional annoyance, then became permanent. Did troubleshooting for power, impediments, etc., but have to conclude that it's the EVS that failed.

Turning the router off and on could restore function temporarily, but problem persisted.Did troubleshooting for power supply and obstruction, but have to conclude that speed control is the issue.Will see if I can get it repaired under warranty, and will update this review. Otherwise, it's a a disappointing product and I will consider other brands.

This Router is a very nice addition to my woodworking shop. It's very quiet and powerful. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Item was missing 1/2" collet. Only options were to send the whole thing back or go to Dewalt with the problem. Not worth the headache. I'll just buy the collet. I'll buy local next time. Should've this time.
There are two issues that keep this from being the best I could imagine. First, as I have read from some others, it was missing the 1/2" collet. Second, the fine adjustment can move. And of course, it goes deeper.This thing is extremely easy to use. I am glad I bought it.
This is my third router. A friend recommended it to me. This will be the last one I purchase.DEWALT created a smooth operating motor that cuts smoothly without any bind ups or jumping. Very safe to operate and much quieter than my other routers.My first try proved very successful because of the features of the product. Easy to set and lock, the smooth motor, and the balanced RPM's made my custom baseboard job really easy. You get what you pay for and DEWALT's DW618 is worth every $.
This router is excellent and features variable speed and electric cruise control. The low stance provides good control, and the handles are the best I have used. Just the right size and shape, it makes you want to pick this one up - even when you have other routers to choose from. I have had it over two years, and performed inlays, cut dovetails, hinge mortises, chamfers etc. I can say the accuracy of this machine is first-rate.Consider buying the two-base kit. The plunge base is also excellent with a very smooth plunge action.
Bought this used router to be dedicated to my new router table I was constructing. It is great and like new
