So this is an interesting addition to the Toughsystem 2.0 storage line. It is essentially a smaller storage tote with a detachable work light top. The light component itself works awesome and is in line with what I expect for Dewalt work lights. There are two separate light heads which can be adjusted to shine in essentially all directions. If you do put a 60v flexvolt battery here it does stick up slightly above the top which means you can't really put anything on top, which wasn't an issue for me. Runtime was good and I easily hit 3 hours at full brightness with a 20v 5 ah battery (what Dewalt says it should do). The storage component isn't huge but it is big enough to put what you would need for a small job in it. It isn't quite tall enough to put my driver or drill in with the battery still attached. Overall I would say it's a great light system and small storage with sturdy construction that works especially well for small jobs where you need to really light things up.

I really like this work light, it's very bright and adjusts easily to every need. First job site we had it on was a condo remodel. It came in very handy in the closets and bathrooms. The closets had no lights making paint difficult, and corded work lights in confined spaces are a pain to use. The hanging hook came in very handy letting us hang it on the clothes rod. It helped a lot in the bathrooms plumbing the new vanities, and while we had the power shutoff to change light fixtures/fans/switches/plugs. We had a 9ah Flex Volt battery powering it and with both lights on high it lasted all day (batteries all get charged every night). I haven't tried it with the screw mount yet, but that also seems very handy. The tool caddy is also a great quick throw in bin. This light and toolbox combo is very convenient. I overall hate tool bags and this box fixes that problem for me. After getting this light/box combo I also purchased two more divided boxes to put fasteners and electrical supplies in. It keeps everything in order no more spills in the bottom of a bag. Makes work faster and less frustrating. As a system for tools and parts this will be in my truck moving forward for my jobs and for home use. I also want to mention the two light heads that fold down and turn left and right. They are super bright And mounted on a base that’s easy to set where you need it and get the job done. The size of this system is convenient. It’s smaller so it fits in the back seat of my truck easily. Won’t leave home with out it.
Great product. Have used a couple different times. First was under the dash of boat and was much handier than holding flashlight in mouth. Even having behind me provided much needed light. Second time was at work under the main carriage of paving machine which is dark once you start adding components to the top side. Was very helpful running electrical cables and hydraulic lines. Looking forward to using when working on motor cycle to get better angles with light from floor that ceiling lights aren’t any help for.
This lighting system is a great little system to have with the rest of your TSAK 2.0. It has the optional power connector to help when the battery runs out. I ran this unit with a external power cord, in which I used on my portable fan from DeWalt previously purchased. I think the only downside of this unit is when carrying it, because it is top heavy and if you don't have anything in the bin, the entire thing wants to flip over. An improvement on any other models, would be the ability to charge the battery when plugged in and if was a full row, instead of half row, you could have possibly 4 lights and 4 batteries for longer usage.
This is probably my most convenient tool. This will go with me anytime I have a project with limited lighting. For bigger jobs I can attach it to my toughsystem tool boxes and for smaller jobs just throw a few tools I need in the box and I’m good to go. The adjustable lights work great and are super bright. I can light up two separate areas as the lights swivel any direction. I love the option to use a battery or extension cord for power. It’s especially useful now as it gets darker earlier. I just used it to build a playhouse in the backyard for my daughter and it lit up the work area perfectly without running out of battery.
The light is super bright.swiveling heads for the light allow for a greater area to be covered. The adjustable brightness levels for both lights allow for less light when not needing the high powered light. The option to be corded or cordless with dewalt 20v batteries a great touch based upon the job you have to do. This will replace my standing corded work lights I have now. This will be a stand alone item for me since I have the screw organizer as my top box on my toughsystem 2.0 stack. If you have the standard boxes with will attach to the top of the stack.

This light/storage package is practical and intuitive. You can say good bye to huge bulky tripod worklights for residential applications. 4000 lumens is extremely bright, and you can adjust to 2 lower settings as well. The footprint of the design is small and easy to use. The adjustable lights pivot to any direction you'd need and can be folded face down for protected storage. I love the feature to power via extension cord instead of battery. The tripod mount and hanging hook provide different options and should suit most jobs. Plenty of storage space, I fit 2 drills, 3 batteries and some drill bits with plenty of room to spare. The tough system attachment is easy to use with one hand. 5 out of 5!
