Another great Dewalt product

Great Dewalt product as we would come to expect! I bought this particular stand for the long stand arms. I wanted a stand that could handle very long pieces of trim. My only complaint is that the arms will sag when they are fully extended. This prevents the trim from laying flat near the blade and prevents a precise cut. If I have the arms fully extended I often need to shim up the arms in order to correct the sag. Overall though I’m very glad I bought it and would definitely recommend buying it.

Excellent Stand for Frequent Transportation

Excellent saw stand and came included with the saw as part of a Special Buy. I also have an older and longer Dewalt version. The plastic dedent release levers are a great addition compared to my older stand. Just seems like an odd size 40". I realize this is their compact version but 48" would have been more of an ideal length in my opion but still a great size if you transport a lot of tools. I would have given it 5 stars if it had an option for wheels. I plan to mount 2 wheels (with pins and clips for easy on/off) to the bottom of the legs as it would make it easier to move the saw when in use especially when working on outside projects (siding/decking/ect.).

Highly recommend this miter saw stand

This was easy to do with the well-written instructions. Be aware that this stand is not meant to be stored with the miter saw attached to it. The intention is for you to mount your miter saw on the stand with the provided hardware, which works very well. When you are finished you remove your saw from the stand (a quick and easy process) and store your saw and the stand separately. This works great for me and I am very happy with it.

Huge Stand
3 January 2023

This thing is big!! At 6’ wide with slide outs totaling over 150”, this is long and awkward. The legs easily unfold and fold easily, it’s not too heavy and supports the weight of the 12” Dewalt miter saw. Handle is on the bottom, making it difficult to store and at 6’, it’s not going to sit on a shelf or under a workbench, maybe lean it in a corner somewhere. Without casters, it’s not going to slide easily with the saw attached, but since it was a free gift with purchase, hard to say no. Kept the box to store it in front of my work bench for now. Will see if I can come up with a better lace to store it. May have to add more Gladiator tracks and large hooks to hold it.

Instructions for attaching saw suck
11 February 2023

The directions for attaching the saw do not include the model saw that came as part of package deal. It lists a variety of models but not the 779 which came with the stand. No problem except describes which screws to use based on model. Yes I can certainly put a bolt washer and nut through a hole but it calls for specific ones depending on saw model. Went to Lowes and you would have thought I had asked the man to eat nails. The question wasn't how to put a bolt through a hole but which bolt. Got no answer other that to just put it together without regard for size of bolts.

This could have five stars but my 5'4" frame has a couple of issues. It could be the perfect table stand for someone, just not me.I could not find the length so I was disappointed when I found out how long it was. I expected the main body to be five foot instead of six foot. That extra foot will be ok when I can work outside, but to use it in my shop or even my house, it is not convenient. Then there is the matter of storing it. The extenders are nice but I may never need them. The mounting instructions could have been a little more detailed to make mounting the miter saw easier and take less time. The release levers on the mounting bars are hard to reach once the saw is mounted. I even pulled my DEWALT 7-1/4-in 20-Volt Max Single Bevel Sliding Compound Cordless Miter Saw (Model #DCS361B) as far forward on the mounting bars as possible. I can take it on and off, but it is not easy and it is not according to the instructions. I am glad I have learned how to use equalizers. It is the perfect height, folds up, and sturdy so I will work with the other issues.

Lots of sag when at full extension
25 March 2021

After using the stand for a week now I am not happy by how much sag there is when the supports are fully extended. It’s really frustrating when cutting 4x4 stock. It’s very difficult trying to align the extension height level with the bed height because you have to guess how much the weight of a particular board may cause the arms to sag. Lots of fiddling around. You need to mess around by trial and error, finally having the extension arm pad height way above the table because when when you put weight on it it sags to the point where the board is not level on the bed. Keep your saw clamps readily available. Not sure what the value of a 500 lb rating is when the stand struggles to hold a board that weighs less than the stand itself level with the saw table. I owned a no-name brand in the past and am not sure this “upgrade” really got me anything more than a name. Works well with 1x4 stock.

Unethical pricing
1 December 2023

Bought this on Cyber Monday as a Christmas gift. It was listed at $280 minus $80 sale, so $199 total plus tax. Good deal right? I get the thing and it's an open box with 2 shipping labels to someone else's house, and there's a tag on the top that says "OPEN BOX SELL FOR $149". Today is the Friday after Cyber Monday and the REGULAR PRICE is now $199. Absolute crooks! Returning this and already purchased it elsewhere, brand new.

Very disappointed

Spent much time researching before finally 'upgrading' to this stand from mid-line HF. I hate this stand and I hate that I spent $200 on it. The material supports are quite narrow. I cut a lot of baseboard in a hurry and its often falling off. Don't even get me started on 1/4 round. I see DeWalt makes wider supports that I can purchase for another $80. No. Also, the handles that lock the extensions stick down past the bottom of the stand. I want the stand to set upright in my truck but if I do this it is setting on the handles so I have to leave unlocked which means that the extensions are sliding in and out as I load/unload the stand. Lastly, it doesn't have one adjustable foot, like other stands, to set firm when on uneven ground.Only good thing I can say is that ... MoreSpent much time researching before finally 'upgrading' to this stand from mid-line HF. Kept trying to like it but I am going to give it away and go back to my old Harbor Freight stand. Not as cool but WAY more useful.

I ended up leaning it in a corner. Again, I do not want to sent it down with the handle facing up and damage the work-stops. It would be a pain to remove and reinstall the work-stops everytime I want to use it. I'm giving it five stars, it works, and I should not complain about it be solid and sturdy, and heavy.
