These shorts waist size 31 fit me well and are comfortable. They appear to be of good quality and are sturdy. For the price I paid they are a very good value. Wish there were more color choices but I am very happy.

I wasn’t sure how the slim shorts would feel and look so I only ordered one pair. They feel great, comfortable and look great. Not baggy or too tight like others I’ve worn. I’ll definitely order a few more pairs.

These shorts waist size 31 fit me well and are comfortable. They appear to be of good quality and are sturdy. For the price I paid they are a very good value. Wish there were more color choices but I am very happy.

I tried a pair of these shorts, alongside their regular fit counterparts, and opted for the regular fit. I found that the upper-half of both pair fit me exactly the same. The difference that I noticed is that these"slim fit" legs appear to be tapered, rather than slim overall.I didn't lay these shorts flat and take measurements before returning them, so perhaps I'm wrong. These both looked and felt like a tapered fit, though. Given the roomy, high-rise fit in the hips, I prefer the straight-leg of the regular fit to these slim ones.
I bought and kept these because the overall fit was great and the fabric seemed tough while still offering some flex. The side pocket adds some functionality. These are great work shorts, but even better cycling/hiking/climbing shorts and I use them as such; they're also just great bopping around.However, they are too long. I wish they offered these in the 8" inseam. I know that's not for everyone but there are probably plenty of shorter guys or just people who like shorts to be...um...short. Just cut more off and bring the hem up just below the side pocket. That's what I did and they're perfect!One more thing that would make these (and pants) even better would be a double-layered or gusseted crotch. Great short but the sizing is way off what I recieved from other Dickies shorts I got a pair of 34 waist shorts a few years back. If you take a measuring tape and measure the shorts a 34 measures 37in I have never had a 34 too big and in need of a belt. I like the shorts so I got a belt but I hate having to deal with a belt. This time I figured I would get a 33 to see if they would work better. Getting them it measured 34 but I couldnt even button them. It was so far off that I ordered larger pairs in two styles and once they come I will return the ones that dont fit. I think the sizing for shorts needs to be way more consistant or at least explained in a better more consistant manner. Once I get these new ones I will update my report.Selling and making clothes for 20 years the common way to test a waist is to button the short and when in half put it around your neck to see if the folded ends touch Your neck size relatively matches your waist by 50%. So if you have a overlap by about 1 inch it should be perfect. check your best fitting shorts and use that as a refrence and you cant go wrong. .
Solid shorts. Well made as with all Dickies. Cut is similar to the slim Dickies but not the same exactly. Only drawback is the inconsistent sizing and fit that plagues all Dickies is a problem with these. When they are sized properly, I’m a solid 33” always in the slims. I purchased these in a 33” and they are tighter in the waist and thighs. Don’t be afraid to bump the waist size up and inch if you want any room in the crotch/waist.
I have bought Dickies pants and shorts for years. Ordered flex slim work shorts and the sizing is all over the place. The gray shorts fit the best. Black little snug and tan little tighter. Very disappointed in the difference from a couple of years.
I ordered the slim Fitch shorts for my husband, who has thinner legs and a small derrière. (Most shorts hang on him in the back and are so wide in the legs that you see way up his thighs when he crosses his legs while sitting.) These shorts are the first pair that really fit, that wash up beautifully without wrinkles, and that can be worn for casual, work, or dress use. Perfect!
I am retired and spend a lot of time outdoors here in hot Texas. I wear my Dickies shorts almost everyday. I love the cell phone pocket. I feel lost without it. The shorts are durable, comfortable, and easy to care for.
