Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Serum 000 Universal Clear

This product is great for hydrating your lips, it's not really a "lip plumper". I went looking for a lip serum after Glossier's Bubble Wrap was discontinued and this is a great replacement. I find that it's best under a lip balm for maximum hydration and it smoothes out my lip lines. It's also amazing for when my lips get chapped during the day, it's the only product I've tried that actually makes the dry flakes go away. Absolutely will repurchase!

Another Layer of Lip Maximizer

Loving the Lip Maximizer, I wanted to try this. This is definitely a serum, it's watery and thin on the lips. It has that classic minty-vanilla smell and is cooling on the lips. It is hydrating and smoothing. The plumping effect comes from the hyaluronic acid, but it isn't much on its own. I definitely recommend pairing this with the Lip Maximizer gloss or any other gloss for more dimension. My only criticism goes against its longevity- given how thin the formula is on the lips, I found that it dried down quickly and didn't last much on its own...but would definitely be amplified paired with the gloss. This doesn't seem like an overly necessary product alone, but is fun, softening and refreshing on the lips, and I think Lip Maximizer fans will like it as a priming ... MoreLoving the Lip Maximizer, I wanted to try this. Glossy and plump-y, for a few hours that is.

The product does work, but will it do miracles? No. The gloss is pretty cool but it’s quite sticky. The moment I placed the gloss on, it does have a slight burning sensation. It’s almost like using Burt’s Bees mint chapstick. I think the product did make my lip somewhat more “plumped” but don’t expect it to make your lips look like they’re filled with fillers. One thing I do notice is that it does not last that long. Both gloss and plumped look went away in 1hr1/2. So you’d probably have to apply it multiple times in a day. In my opinion, I’d say give it a sample try if you’re looking for that “plump” look. But again, it’s probably just for a few hours out, not a full day look.

Lip Serum worth trying

I use the Dior Addict Lip Scrub which quietly I am addicted to, so I thought I would give The Lip Maximizer a try and use in conjunction. This Maximizer threw me at first as it is not the usual lip Maximizer like Too Faced Lip Injection Maximum Plump Extra Strength Lip Plumper. Then I worked it out, it is a serum, milky semi mat, don’t expect any tingling here it has a slightly cooling effect after it has been on your lips for about half hour. If you want super moisturising you would have to layer a lip moisturiser on top, having said that it works super well as a base/primer for my lippie or gloss. Lip plumping TREATMENT; not gloss

Important to think of this like a serum under your moisturizer. It’s a lip plumping TREATMENT, not a lip gloss…and it’s brilliant! Put it on it the morning…dries in no time…and the results are plump, nourished lips all day. Wear regular lipstick on top…or add Dior plumping lip gloss on top for ultimate results. Fantastic product!

New addition to my night routine

This is NOT a lip gloss! It is a serum treatment. I feel like it’s being reviewed unfairly due to people misunderstanding what this product is. I bought this during the the sale and I’ve been using it before bed. I top it with Aquaphor and wake up to plump, soft lips! As I’m getting older I’m trying to find products to help with keeping my skin looking youthful and healthy so this product is definitely part of my new routine! Doesn’t have much of a scent, goes on a little bit white but absorbs into your lips pretty quickly. I didn’t experience any tingling but I do feel a cooling sensation that’s pleasant.

Sticky

I purchased this product just being obsessed with Dior lip products. I really wanted to love this but didn’t really understand the use. Maybe on down the line I’ll find use but it’s pointless to me. It’s creamy going onto the lips but drys sticky. I read a review before buying to use a scrub then apply. I tried that and it wasn’t much of a difference so I don’t know. Definitely helps to use a gloss on top. It feels better. Don’t think I’d really recommend cause like stated earlier I didn’t really see the use. Which is the reason I gave 3 stars.

Using as a primer

The word “maximizer” in the title implies some kind of plumping. That isn’t what this does, in my opinion, so one point off for what I feel is misleading. Second point is off for the price point. You’re paying for the Dior brand, and while you definitely get the luxury experience between the packaging, the smell and the plush pillow-y feeling your lips get after the product has fully absorbed. But in terms of a functional lip primer that you can just as easily get by using either a standard lip primer for a fraction of the price? I will definitely use it, but I won’t repurchase for myself or a gift or be recommending to a friend.

You wouldn’t just apply a serum to your face and go on about your day! All serums need a moisturizer on top of them and this is no exception. I’ve layered this in many ways, here are my faves: the “moisture sandwich” method is awesome with this-apply the serum and then spritz a little tiny amount of water on top of it and glob a ton of generic moisturizer all over your lips, let that sink in for as long as you can tolerate and then rub in as much as you can, spritz some more water and then load up on Vaseline. It makes the maximizer effects last up to six hours for me, noticeable plumpness and comfortable hydration the entire time without any reapplication. After using this daily at least once for seven days, I woke up today having NOT put anything on my lips before bed and they are not cracked and insanely dry like they normally are. Use this product with some kind of moisturizer afterwards and you will fall in love I am sure of it.

This doesn’t go on totally clear like the description says- but I’m fine with that since I’m using this under other products. It’s a pasty, creamy consistency that feels wet upon application. The applicator has longer fibers on the tip- it’s more like a mop in comparison to the typical doe foot applicator you might be used to. It immediately smooths lines in the lips. Moments after application you begin to feel a pleasant minty tingle, followed by a mild plumping effect. This is much mintier than other Dior lip plumping products- but it’s not painful. I don’t have much experience with lip primers or serums, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but this is a lovely addition to the Dior lip family of products. My lips look smooth and plump with no stinging or pain!
