Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer

I have combo skin, dry in certain areas due to tretinoin and a little oily in others. Maybe because It's so hydrating, but it took me a minute to figure out how to make the product work for me. For me, it seperated a bit over heavy moisturizer and a mineral based SPF but worked better on top of a lighter moisturizer and a very light weight chemical spf (i.e., when my skin was closest to being completely bare). I used on my under eye areas and to spot conceal. It worked well underneath my eyes, but I don't have heavy dark circles. It didn't provide heavy coverage for my dark spots. I had to use the method of placing it on the dark spot, letting it sit a bit to dry down, and then patting/spreading with fingertips. I did not find the texture particularly hydrating, but rather soft and smoothing. I would not feel comfortable using this formula on bare skin without first prepping with my usual toner, serum, and hydrating cream for optimal results. It is evident that Dior puts a lot of pride in the natural origin and floral skincare science behind their ingredients. The integrity of their products and visual performance of their ingredients really shine through for, in this case, an immediate payoff.

It spreads easily onto the face, does not look overly obvious or makeup like, and doesn't tend to oxidize. It does not typically cling to dry patches either which is something that I struggle with. Since I have dark under eye circles, I tried both ways, applying with corrector and without and I noticed I can use this without even corrector which tells this is definitely full coverage. 45 years old needing a miracle for under eyes

I've purchase so many of the "holy grail" concealers but none of them gave me the same results that I saw on videos or read in reviews. I am 45 with under eye hollows that are dark. I have dark skin on my eyelids and around my eyes. I also have thin, crepey skin under my eyes. In my experience, those that say they have dark circles and under eye texture really don't. I'm the real deal! lol! A concealer for me needs to have full coverage for the discoloration but can't be drying or heavy to make my eyes look worse. I didn't think it existed to be honest. I purchased this along with the forever matte foundation and now my search for both is finally over. I love this product so much. I just recently discovered, in a rush to get out the door, that I can apply it quickly all over my eyes with my foundation brush (no corrector!) and dare I say it looked even better than when I spend more time at it! I'm thrilled! I never did use the "old" formula that everyone talks about but this is amazing for me. Great coverage, lasts all day, not drying, looks so natural, doesn't need to be set....if you can think of a box this one ticks it.

I am old and I will not yank/scrub on my skin to remove makeup. I have done that in the past and any sort of strong mechanical motion makes my skin more sensitive (I had a Mia in the past to remove my makeup). And double cleansing tends to dry my skin out (I know about moisturizers). Not for me and I will keep looking for a lighter wear concealer. I have never tried this, so I can't compare it to the old formula. I might go back to the YSL brush pen, which is a bit lighter.

I received this product from an Influenster voxbox to review and I must say I love it! I already have the old formula and it was already a favorite of mine so I put them on side by side to compare and there’s not much of a difference. The old formula 2N shade is a tad lighter but seems to dry down to the same shade as the new 2N shade. The packaging is slightly different but not much more of a difference in my opinion. They both perform the same and the outcome looks pretty identical. If I had to choose I’d pick the new formula only bc it seems to cover my hollow dark circles a bit better. I assume it may b due to slight shade difference and I feel the new formula is ever so slightly more Matte than the old verison. I would consider both a natural finish.
