I like Diptype's perfumes as they are very unique. I love floral perfumes. So when I got a 7.5ml bottle of this as part of a beautifully packaged 5 piece tester set, I was very excited to try it. However, it really is quite a weak scent and not particularly floral. Depite being light in its scent it does make me feel a little nauseous. It's really hard to put my finger on why I don't like it but it smells almost cheap. If you love floral perfumes then I'd suggest trying a tester in a SpaceNK shop before purchasing this as you might be dissapointed like me. Shame.

This is my 2nd Diptyque scent, next to Ilio. This is a lovely skin scent, even my husband had a great first impression when I let him smell from the tester I got from the shop. I knew I had to immediately buy it! It did not disappoint. It gives off a strong musky smell at first, maybe itâs the iris , but it dries down to a nice clean scent, and Iâve gotten plenty of compliments when I wore this to work. With longevity, even if it does not project well, I can still smell it at the end of my long shift.
The opening reminds me of a dusty damp wooden cupboard. With carrots. This quickly morphs into the iris and rose mid notes. Powdery. Not a love for me but thankfully goes away fast enough. Fleur de peau dries down to an addictive musk on the skin where it stays for hours and hours.I received this in a discovery set and I think I may invest in a full bottle because the longest and most beautiful part is what I love. Lasts longer than orpheon and nicer on skin than clothes.

I love woody, iris perfumes ( and Diptyque perfumes generally) so I was excited to try this one, The musk is more prominent than I thought it would be. Itâs definitely a powdery perfume but also a bit peppery. Unfortunately the musk smells a bit synthetic/soapy on my skin. I have other woody/musk/iris perfumes which i prefer where the iris is the main note. I think this would be great in cold weather on the right person. Definitely worth a try.
Usually a scent that reminds me of holidays means itâs one of those âsummeryâ ones that just smells of sun cream / coconuts. This perfume is just a floral, there must be something specific in there that takes me back to childhood holidays, maybe a note from my mumâs old perfume. I love florals and always look for one a bit special, that you couldnât find anywhere else. Thatâs the case here!Although, the EDTs by Diptyque arenât very long lasting. Just in case youâre looking at the whole brand!
This is complex but not at all confusing.The softest most snuzzley musky scent. Sometimes my teenage daughter âborrowsâ this and I find myself sniffing her like crazy!The Iris in here is what really does it for me, it is that creamy buttery type of Iris that is simple irresistible.Not a room rocker, but a decent throw and very good longevity.
I don't generally like Iris notes but this scent seems to work differently on different skins. The initial spritz offers a bit too much of a baby powder scent for me but on the dry down, I get pencil shavings and more of a violet note. This is not my usual kind of scent but I do like it and can't help sniffing my wrist as the scent changes. Diptyque online offers a sample size with every full size bottle so you can try before you unpackage the full size, which is great because their perfumes are quite an investment.
