I had previously bought him one of these from Target which was probably just 20 bucks. so, this time i thought spending a bit more money would get me a bit more quality in terms of the product but I don't think that happened even one bit. I have tried it in various levels of light, both natural and artificial and ended up with pretty mediocre results. I would have appreciated more instructions and explanations especially that it was for our grandson who has yet to embrace the fascination of our natural world in a micro state, something I was amazed by when I was young. However the good old magnifying glass does a pretty good job and he does find that useful. Possibly can't expect too much considering the money spent on a refined tool such as this. In retrospect I probably should have spent more money for better quality. Hopefully I can afford one in the future. If I actually can get it to its optimal level of functionality I will report back.
