Firstly, the portability of this drone is unmatched. It's compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport in a backpack or even a small camera bag. Despite its small size, the DJI Mavic Pro still packs a punch with its impressive camera capabilities. It can capture stunning 4K footage and takes high-quality 12-megapixel stills. Overall, I highly recommend the DJI Mavic Pro drone for anyone looking for a compact and high-performance drone for aerial photography and videography. It's a reliable and easy-to-use drone that produces stunning results

Unfortunately, the videos won't upload because they are large files due to the high quality. I highly recommend this drone. I started with the yuneech breeze, then gro pro karma drone, then mavic pro, now have the Mavic pro 3 cine. They have been amazing. A travel must have.

Although the camera on the Mavic is 4K, and takes beautiful video and photos, it's not quite as good as the DJI Phantom 4 Professional, which features a full size imaging chip which can capture beautiful footage in near darkness. That being said, the Mavic Pro can deliver beautiful, professional looking footage without sacrificing the professional level of quality. The range is 4.4 miles, and it has a top speed of around 40 MPH. There are over 10 different flight modes that automate your flight and allow you to get cinema quality footage. When I'm not using my Phantom 4 Pro, I use my Mavic Pro. DJI currently holds 80% of the drone market, and for good reason. The quality of their drones are exponentially better than any other brand. As an experienced professional drone cinematographer, I recommend the Mavic to anyone who is looking to start a business taking aerial photos and videos of real estate, aerial landscapes, and perform structure inspections. The drone industry is growing by billions of dollars every year, so now is the time to get into the business. I recommend starting with the Mavic Pro, and once you become a proficient drone operator, you can upgrade to one of DJI's professional level drones. Enjoy your flying, and stay safe!

This product is out of this world! When DJI released their first line of drones I bought their Phantom 3; however, ever since I have purchased the DJI Mavic Pro I wouldn’t change my choice of drone for anything else. I own a videography company that offers drone work for our clients, and I have found that this drone is by far the best drone on the market due to its ergonomic profile, its “smart” features, and its reliability. This Mavic Pro is insanely ergonomic. This drone not only fits snuggly in my camera bag, but I have put it in my pocket and even the cup holding counsel in my car. If you value size and portability, then this is the drone for you. If you are always on the go, someone who will bring a drone on a road trip, a hiking trip, or even out of the country the Mavic Pro is the right fit. When you are considering a drone for its features what would a smart drone look like in your mind? This product is much smarter than you would think. It has sensors, so it can avoid obstacles in its way, it’s has a camera track option so it can follow you, it has a tripod mode that reduces the acceleration immensely so it is accessible to fly indoors, it can even fly in a perfect circle around a designated object, and much much more. Due to these features, you will be able to get angels and smooth aerial shots that no other drone on the market can get. If you are someone who wants that edge in filmmaking or even just a hobbyist that enjoys flying drones this product will not let you down!Reliability seems impossible when it comes to the drone world. Many people have seen drones crash, fall in water, and even just get lost. How can you trust a drone? You are in the right spot my friend. The Mavic Pro has got your back. You can trust this product because of the various specifications intended for the Mavic to avoid if not all but most tragic accidents. The Mavic Pro has a build in GPS so losing it is never a problem, even when flying miles away from you. The sensors on the drone have saved itself from crashing multiple times, in my experience, as it literally can fly around trees, buildings, poles, etc. It has not failed for me in over a year and the continuous reviews on this product say for itself. Many people will avoid buying a drone at this price because of these chances of unreliability, but I cannot stress enough that this product will exceed your expectations.Being a videographer, I am constantly taking this drone out onto video shoots. It has been by far my best camera yet. If you are looking into making films or videos, or even just someone who wants to fly a drone around, this drone is the right fit. Despite the height in price, the Mavic Pro will not disappoint you. How you could say no to a smart flying 4K camera that can avoid object midair, and at the end of the day fit in your pocket? I couldn’t.I hope at the least got you thinking more into buying the DJI Mavic Pro, I’d recommend watching YouTube videos or reading reviews to get a further understanding of what this product can do. I hope I was able to help, and best of luck on your drone purchase.

Excellent reliable drone!

Picked this up just about 1 year ago and with 363 flights and a little over 350K miles flown, I can safely say this is an extremely fun, reliable drone.I have not had any major issues or a single crash with the Mavic Pro, just a brief communication issue between drone and controller twice - and when this happened, the drone automatically "returned to home / take off point" like it's supposed to.The 3 batteries that came with the "Fly More' package still holds a great charge after a year, I may have lost about 1-2 minutes on these batteries, but I do know this is normal with these rechargeable Lithium batteries.I did take this on a "distance test" late last Summer in NJ, nice large field, farmland - away from any interference of the city. I did not get to push this to the 4.3 mile advertised max test, but was able to get 2.1 miles before deciding to turn around. I admit, this is by far the farthest I have flown and was a bit nervous - but I had no problem, no loss of video on the controller! Also 2.1 miles is far more than I need. I just like to keep the drone in my line of sight at all times. The camera is decent, it takes great shots in daytime conditions - nighttime, in very low light situations, well...not so much.RAW photo mode is great for me. The Panorama photos are fun (I do use a small program called "Hugin" to stitch these into a super large seamless 360º photo) I've tried the Live stream for YouTube and Facebook Live, it's not too bad, not perfect however. I've has some lag, pixelation of video when streaming so I don't really use this feature. The one thing I read before buying the Mavic Pro is a potential annoyance of DJI's constant updates. Yes, this is true. There are times I've taken the drone out, ready to take flight, open the app and prompted with a update. A few I could ignore, but a few I had to update before I could fly. And if you are not on a Wifi at the time, an update can take a while to download, install..and it's taking up your battery life on the drone, a bit deflating. My advise, before you leave the home, charge up the drone, controller, app to see if any updates are available.I've had a different drone, brand name a few years ago. Sadly, I was just never happy with the performance of that drone, especially after it's final bug-filled firmware before the company moved on and put all it's focus on it's newer drone model. But this DJI, overall I've been very happy with this drone. I am waiting for the Mavic 2 to drop in price just a bit - may take a while though. I will upgrade to that since the the camera on that newer Mavic 2 is just impressive.

I purchased the DJI Mavic Pro as an upgrade to my aging Quanum Nova with 3-axis gimbal and GoPro-style camera, and the first thing that stands out is how nice it is to have real time video and control over the camera! I am a still photography enthusiast, not interested in video as much, and being able to compose and shoot still photos from the air is a dream come true! The technology in this quadcopter is amazing, especially the redundant sensors and visual positioning system. While annoying it's very rare that this happens, and it doesn't impact the flight of the drone at all. I live in Class D airspace (within 5 miles of a smallish airport but with ATC) and have had no problem flying in this zone, although it does warn and ask for confirmation you have approval. I understand some people have legitimate geofencing issues when trying to fly with approval in a true no-fly-zone, but I have not experienced any of those issues despite living and flying in a restricted airspace area. When reading about negative experiences with any product you have to remember that happy customers don't usually take the time to review an item unless they are completely blown away by it, whereas unhappy customers are very vocal. With the number of Mavics sold and such a small percentage of negative experiences versus the whole it's not hard to see that this drone is something special. Yes, a small percentage of users have issues which is to be expected with an item with so much technology and so many systems working together, but overall I have not experienced any of those issues and I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase (elated actually!)If you're on the fence about buying the Mavic, pull the trigger! If you are unhappy with it or it doesn't fill your needs send it back, but if you're considering it don't deny yourself the chance to fly this amazing piece of technology!

So THAT'S what a good drone flies like...

The Mavic is actually my third drone / quadcopter and I've had it for about a month now. I'd purchased a very cheap Syma drone to see if I liked droning - I mean flying a drone, not going on and on like I am now :)With the cheap Syma it turns out I did not like it at all. It couldn't handle any wind to speak of, the controls were alternately too sensitive and too sluggish, and I have to admit that I lost interest pretty quickly.A few months later a spiffy little thing called the Micro Drone caught my eye. It was much better, though I did manage to bust up eight of the tiny props in the first few days. Despite the littered wreckage of buster props I decided I'd give something a little more substantial a go. It was much better, though I did manage to bust up eight of the tiny props in the first few days. Despite the littered wreckage of buster props I decided I'd give something a little more substantial a go. Initially I was considering the DJI Spark, but by the time I added the remote control it was close enough in price to the Mavic - which has a much better camera and longer flight time.Flying it could not be easier. Charge the batteries, go outside - the Mavic has two GPS systems to manage its exact position with almost frightening accuracy - do a quick calibration of the inertial movement sensors and compass, connect your phone, and tap the auto take off button in the DJI Go app. The drone takes off and hovers about four feet off the ground waiting for you.Tap the auto land button and it will settle down to the ground on its own. There you go. The first nerve wracking flight is over, now you can concentrate on having fun with it. I tested mine in a local park - a non-State park because Texas state parks are no fly zones - and looking at the video I shot I was hard pressed to believe that it wasn't coming from a tripod because it's perfectly still thanks to the camera gimbal which instantly corrects the image if the Mavic has to deal with a winds. The Mavic is equipped with forward pointing object avoidance sensors to help keep you from crashing. There's a pair of downward facing sensors to aid in return to home and auto landing. Through the DJI Go app you can activate several "Intelligent Flight Modes" which include "Follow" - the ability to select a person or object and have the drone follow them, "Orbit" - the ability to have the drone fly a circle around a person or object, "Terrain Tracking" - keep the drone at a specific distance from the ground as it flies, and a bunch more.I sound like a sales pitch I know, but I really love this thing. There's a huge online community where you can find tons of suggestions, tutorials, and technical assistance, plus just tons of beautiful videos shot from Mavics.

Terrible Customer Service/ Buy at your own Risk

I contacted customer service and they told me due to that I don't have the serial number of the drone which is located on the actual drone, which sinked to the bottom of the ocean. I love my drone, but however I would reconsider purchasing their product. Talk about supporting their customers!!

I then bought the Propel Darth Vader TIE Fighter Advance1 and at that point I realized, I wanted to research the real deal drones with cameras. After extensive research of multiple websites, review articles and YouTube videos, I found most recommended DJI brand and especially the Mavic Pro for the standard in the industry, even over the GoPro Karma (which I decided between these two options). The Fly More combo is well worth the extra investment as it comes with 3 total batteries, which is nice to have for backup as you'll definitely need them during your flight/shoot. A case is also included to store the drone itself, the remote and the batteries. A multiple charger and car charger is also included for convenience! Go with the Fly More Combo over the basic package for sure.Flying is smooth and great. Calibration is simple and the DJI app is great. The battery lasts around 25 minutes and the 30% low battery alert makes you really wanna bring it in to 1) not have to listen to the constant beeping, and 2) to ensure your drone doesn't get lost. The camera quality is simply amazing! 4K video is supported! I haven't had ANY issues with the video being out of focus, and the focus button on the remote would fix that anyway. There are a ton of features that are cool like follow me mode, tripod mode, activetrack, etc. The front sensors avoids obstacles fairly well, but not tree branches, and there are no back or side sensors, so you'll wanna be extra careful. Obviously most mistakes are made my common sense issues and user error.I am thrilled with this purchase and wish I could fly it at places you're legally not allowed (national parks), but it's great for "drone specific parks" and open areas.

wish I had purchased mavic first before the spark
25 August 2017

Whenever I enter into some new area of interest there is a lot of hand-wringing and review reading and general all around edumacating myself to figure out which is the right fit for me. I was going through a spell when I let that approach lapse and ended up buying the first drone someone recommended me and I wish I had done due diligence first. Not sure if I can mention by name the bad drones but whatever their name is Legion for they are many so just be wary and worried when buying but eventually I bought the DJI phantom four before the mavic and it's a great drone and made me fall in love with quadcopters in the way that Rosaline I think was her name gets Romeo to fall in love initially but ultimately it was not the right drone for me. Not Too large but not very portable (The cAmera images are better than my shots from Mavic though), so then I went with the DJI spark because it is cheaper than the mavic and i regret the choice because I was charging all these expenses to work anyway because we were using these drones for bird control and also security Patrol in an agricultural setting where I can simply program flight paths for the phantom and the drone and get back to work planting vegetables but yiu can't do that with the spark (although you CAN wave at the spark and other hand gestures repeatedly and increasingly more frantically as the drone hovers placidly in front of and above you blinkly passively without response as your boss and your irrigators watch) the spark is a lot of money to be putting down and too limited now. I cannot even recommend it as an entry-level even though it had a lot going for it it has a maddening system of pairing or actually not pairings with your phone to the remote control to the drone itself and I can't recommend it to anyone unless you área patient and/or can hack into the mainframe of a... well anyway I strongly suggest foregoing the gimmicky spark (sorry I am being hard in what is actually a pretty good drone with a decent camera but if yiu can't pair the remote you can't fly it unless you hurl it upward into the heavens in anger) and instead I recommend going with the mavic which just... works. It works.Blah blah blah lots of other words and observations to go but yeah the mavic is solid. A little sexy even but not like too much like you're trying to compensate for anything it's just form following function and it is lean and it just works. It is well-made, flexible, quite literally, I can fold it like an origami swan it can fit in a small Day pack with extra battery and charger remote. I use it with iPad mini but you have to get an adapter for that to fit. I recommend get as fast a san disk as you can. The normal ones they go too slow. Also I recommend learning the law of the land because it's a changing.also if you flip the drone upside down it falls asleep just like a chicken goes into a stupor. I'm telling you this because its helpful worse case scenario it's go to know how to shut a drone down in a controlled manner because at some point you will want to impress a girl and show her your new toy it's NOT a toy ok it's for work and that's not the point you are talking and you wanted to make a positive impression and you're feeling desperate and her middle name is Alexandra and you're already trying too hard anyway so you boot up the mavic but you didn't give it time to gets its bearings first which it does need to do and it wouldn't hurt you either to do the same before operating machinery about people have at 45 mph but if yiu just switch it on and gun it up it will lift off but the drone can start to wander and if in a last ditch effort you just grab it by the bottom it will get reallly feisty. It actually is programmed to turn on the boosters I think and try to break free from your grip and louder anyway just flip of the wrist and drone upside down tummy up it wil respond goes to sleep immediatlely aaaand.... scene. What else? Buy the charger that can Charge three battery simultaneously. Again follow the law and be mindful of the fact that we are in the formative years of drones for consumer market and if yiu are reckless and cause a wreck then lawmakers have to go make laws that limit the rest of us who are more responsible and so it goes and so it gives so please always remember when you put the drone on sport mode at the park: Sometimes less is more.
